Suggestion on replay & webform
1. Tag button -- once pressed, append a new line about the current player name into a text file, as well as the name of the replay. To look at the screenshot to distinguish 0 and O, 1, I and l is a pain and inaccurate.
2. Display time (from game starts) -- web form has a box to fill the time but there is no time display in the replay (for TDM at least). Alternatively, we can have a slide bar like most video player, and with one more button to mark the point for review.
3. Ability to report more than 1 players at the same time. To upload a 3M replay for 3 times is slow and need more space.
4. Ability to trim replay. This can make the reviewer's life easier and so more accurate.
5. Put banned player in database. An application should filter the report first. To be simple, if a hacker being banned, no need to review again.
6. Another application may be developed to filter the replay, to detect the point and create loadable format for review so that reviewer can directly jump to the point.
Here is several idea, I use a player for the player under review.
a. If a player's coordinate is lower than the ground (for a two floor building, it is the first floor's ground -- the lowest possible stand point);
b. If a player's coordinate is in restrict area, like in box, in wall;
c. If a player turn back and forth at high pitch to kill, especially > 90 degree range;
d. If a player kill enemy in a way that the damage rate of his weapon can not reach;
e. If a player has running through a block (will fall into b case most of case) for the case of a thin wall;
f. If a player has a high percentage of time tracing empty position when vision is impossible;
g. If a player proceed faster than expected (it can only be a reference, I watch the replay and find myself warping, which remind me that someone complained about that in games, my ping was 52 in most games, so I've thought that they complain me because their ping are high).
All these rules sound feasible with the replay file (which I believe mainly record the player position, direction, status, action). Even they are not accurate, it will greatly lower the load of reviewers. And such a tool can also released to the community to reduce the number of reports, if the number is large all the time.
7. Encourage players to report and vote kick hackers. Publicly ban hackers to create more influence to the kids whose morality have not been fully established.
8. A way to view the replay without log into the game.
