Things that could be done about the ever Higher number of hack.ers (Just suggestions)

1) Make a server for, let's say, 2°LT+ ONLY. There would still be the od hack.er, but because of the ranks kicking them would not be a problem.
2) Change anti-hack provider, Warrock, for example uses a much better provider, which actually PATCHES, ant auotobanns anyone using weird scripts PERMANENTLY as soon (Or shortly after) they log in.
3) Ping capped servers, This simply because 90% of the current hack.ers have 150+ ping.
4) IP ban Turkey/Brazil, Or just make them their own version of the game to rewin. (I know this will never happen, but it's a fact that it would eliminate many of this game's problems)
5) Take action against the websites selling/distributing the actuall programs.

I know this is a flame thread, and i'll probably get trolled for it; But trying to get 150 kills on egypt made me ralize just how many there are.

    I believe it used GameGaurd. And GameGaurd is what CF used when it first started... Bad Idea.

    They actually use hackshield pro...IT WORKS.

    Why exactly are they not effective? Just need an explenation here; Let's say the same IP has been caught using hack.s let's saaaay, 4 or 5 times...It would seem pretty obvious that that particular person only plays to p*** people off...In that sort of case how would an IP ban not have a positive effect?

    Do you not realize how easy it is to change ones IP and get back on?

    I do, I actually know quite a lot about dynamic ip's and all the rest. But I doubt the majority of people that feel the erge to hack do.
  • I personally think having a ping cap on a couple channels in a server, or just a server it self, would clear up some stuff. I've been saying that for a while. But they are right, you can't really ban a IP and accomplish anything. Changing your IP is faceroll easy. But I'd totally agree with ping caps.

    While I wouldn't call the members of the cheat community a brain trust, it doesn't take much more than a couple firing neurons to turn off a router and wait ten seconds before turning it on again. They don't need to know why their IP address is changed when they do it.

    Not a bad idea. Maybe just stick with a ping capped server (just 1 though because sadly 70% of the people have 150+ ping, even some american/canadian/uk)

    I dont know anything about Warrock but I do know that z8games did their homework and chose Xtrap for a reason.

    There are hackers from every country that play. They will not IP ban a country. (what i was told by Saidin)

    Its not illegal to write codes for games. Its technically not illegal to use them its just against z8games rules. If it was illegal then there would be lawsuits.

    I stopped reading when you mentioned "Warrock". That game has many more hackers than Crossfire.

    At least two years ago Warrock was a disaster. I quited the game at that time for seeing no hope. And last year I checked the middle and large size map games -- there was almost no server in it. I enterred one, and unfortunately saw someone jumping up and down the sky.

    I agree that at least in Warrock, the hacker is so easy to be identified.

    If hacker can not be banned quickly, they will get the 2LT very quickly.

    But I still believe z8 should take some measure. Now even they are busy banning the hackers, there are no much influence on the community. Hackers might never know they can get banned. And players never know hacker can be banned.
