More FPS?
Hey,
Well I'm just wondering how to make your FPS higher. I mean I normally get aroud 20-40 - 60+/80- if I'm lucky. I've tried a few things. Game booster - Smart defrag - Changing graphics card options to higher performance. But nothing is actually working, I mean Game booster even makes it worse: Info
[lsit][*] Processor - 2.00GHz
[*]RAM - 956MB
[*]System Type - 32-bit Operating System[/list]
I'm not much of a computer guy, so somewhat better at website development. I'm getting windows 7, I don't know if that helps out performance or such, but much appreciated if something works to boost up Crossfire.

don't put win 7 on that pc
), use xp :P or win server 2003 -

Figures say it all:
Windows 7 minimum minimum requirement: 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
Windows XP minimum minimum requirement: 64 MB RAM (128 MB is recommended)
Windows 7 minimum minimum requirement: 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
Windows XP minimum minimum requirement: Pentium 233 MHz processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
It takes much MORE resources (CPU, memories) just to run Windows 7 alone than Windows XP, the computer has to use what's left there to run Crossfire. You figure it out. -

Your high on drugs!windows 7 is bullsh1t and if you have 1 GB ram your pc wont even start if you install win 7

Because the are high on drugs! the got to much money to waste!
So ya.... listen to me!
Your pc is to crappy to even look at windows 7 so stay with XP
now go uninstall all the useless programmes that you are using to try to boost your pc!
and srsly google for the processors that are running your background and look if you can turn them off! -
CF is fairly CPU based, and I believe it only runs off a single core.RedSplatter wrote: »And that's what I think is stupid, how it's CPU based instead of GPU.
1 single core 128mb GPU and 1 GB of ram is enough for 80 FPS
If your CPU can hyperthread than it will not make a different!
For CF than... -
Yeah, using XP and playing 1vs1.
I tested it... p4 2.93 Ghz disable hyperthreading had 128mb GPU and 1 GB of RAM
and played in 8v8 and had 60 a 80 FPS
I was amazed! O.O
when kids start smoking the whole place the fps dropped to 40 a 30
with hyperthreading it made a different by 10 fps but you really don't notice it... at all! -

Tell me your secret, cuz I got, in top, 22~25fps in 8vs8 and I've a 256mb gpu.
In smoke zones I got 10~12fps lol.
