Ha.ck report

I remember I submit lots of ha.ck reports before but the replay files have never been downloaded.

So my estimation is either:

1. z8games has a frequency rating system, the more reports towards one player, the higher chance MODs will review the replay and take actions accordingly.

or

2. z8games just deals with those famous ha.ckers, the rest minnows, well, upgrade the game constantly to patch more, that's all.

or

3. I have NEVER seen ANY mutation mode WITHOUT 1-3 glitchers. So in MODs eyes, in mutation mode, glitchers are permitted, or in TDM where mainly low rankers/green horns are playing, ha.cking is OK, not welcomed but OK. So SD, Elimination might be more strict than TDM.

or

4. It is extremely hard to find SOLID evidences to show someone is actually ha.cking, provided he headshots all the time. Just imagine, headshots all the time is quite possible. So if MODs don't ban those ha.ckers, I can understand that.

or

5. For paid customers, they can call their credit card company to deny the payment, which is a painstaking effort for z8games to argue with the suspected ha.cker and the credit card company, paypal etc. (paypal is famous for buyer protection), which takes lots of man power, and above all, $. Come on, this is a for-profit-company, z8games is not Salvation Army.

So for paid customers, at least MODs take a different point of view/standard towards them. Well this is the company policy, I have no hard feelings about it, though.

Please review these replays I submit recently, I reviewed 100% of them, if in any doubt, I wouldn't have submit them, thank you!

I have stop reporting hackers .I don`t see any point to report them . they hack and are tolerated by players in game and they grow up in rank everyday ." I had a talk with one of them yesterday , first time I met him he was in The wall of a MM game and had one hit kill and other well known hack. I asked him whyis he not BAN yet and he said that I am a paranoid , so I told him to come and say this to me in a thread here on the forum and I will post SS of him in the thread . He replied that he can`t speak English , hahahaah , but the noob was using the language very well to talk to me in lobby ." This Guy Is a high rank and I know him since 3 month as a hacker .He is still hacking , always getting voted but rarely kicked :o.
So I really don`t see any reason to report or kick them anymore.
  • Another alternative is that they get a lot of reports on a daily basis to go through and use the same broken viewer we all have for replays, so it takes an enormous amount of time just to find the report was false and go on to the next one that they hope is legitimate.

I feel your pain, I reported three cheats in one Egypt match just last night. But I don't expect Z8 to just jump up and ban them instantly on my say so. I want them to review it and make sure I am right. One person I reported does spend money on the game, so it is in their own best interest to make sure I am not just a sore loser. One thing I'd like to see is for them to set up a database of reporters, and +1 their rating for every good report, and -5 for every false one. This would help them prioritize the checking of reports by user, so there would be a better chance of getting the legitimate ones out of the way before having to wade into the ones that might be less so.

    Not a bad idea.:)
But one thing I am really asking myself since a moment ," If I was running a business and by banning so many people out of it ,will for sure decrease my profit by a huge percentage. So will it be in my interest to go in that direction ? "
My answer = I would be the biggest idiotic business man in the world .

No, you wouldn't. If your product can be used in a way that affects more than just the end user then you can actually increase your income by making sure that the outcome is positive in as many interactions as possible. Morrowind by Bethesda is a single player PC game that is extremely modifiable. If I make the game so modded that I can win it by the time I step off the boat to the Tax and Excise office, then I am the only one who is affected. I can only ruin my instantiation of the game. Crossfire is only barely modifiable but if I do certain things, it can affect the gameplay of up to 15 other people. Z8 has it in their best interest to make their experience of the game a good one and get rid of me. 15 potential customers who enjoy the game, one who ruins it. I know where the money is on that equation.
  • Time and resources. Would you like to volunteer 10 hrs a day of your time to watch replays, most of which there probably isn't enough evidence to do anything about?

What's so hard to keep an eye on the reporter? If a guy has more than 10 false reports stop seeing his reports for a month. Next month if he's got the same number stop seeing his reports for one year. Next year complete ignore.
  • None of the above; just haven't gotten to yours yet, or the user was already banned.

Glitchers in mutation mode means we don't mind it? You expect us to monitor every room constantly?
Its impossible for us, and thats why we have a report function.

User purchases does not influence the decision on whether or not to ban in any way.
