And by how much does it reduce the bullet damage done to the person?

If you play with people who'm aim at body then you should buy it BUT if you play with pros that aim at head I highly suggest not to buy.

Well, kind off, its not perm so if you think its worth it to take a little more dmg go ahead. most people call it noob like though

Body armor will prevent 100 damage knife stabs and it reduces nade damage significantly. It doesn't help at all with snipers. For rifles, it might reduce the damage you take by a few, possibly allowing you to live at 1-10 hp more often. I wouldn't recommened it though, armor is looked down upon and it isn't really nessesary at all. I bought it once, I wouldn't buy it again.

edit: anybody know if body armor .. still takes 100 dmg from an axe right click?

Yes, armor does not help axes or shovels at all. It does help prevent 100 damage knife stabs to the body. As for the stabs and slashes in the face, I wouldn't know, I never had headarmor.

Armor isn't worth it. It costs too much in ZP to rent, and it doesn't protect you enough to make a difference.

It does offer some damage reduction, but it's not a particularly large amount. Most snipers will still kill you in one shot, and if someone's spraying you down with a rifle or SMG you'll still die pretty quickly. It does help quite a bit against grenades, and it can push those close calls in your favor. I don't use it personally, but that has more to do with my play style than its worth. If you're in doubt, grab it for seven days and see what you think. It's pretty cheap.
