Increase of ping.

I don't know if anybody can help with this, but since 6 hours ago my ping has increased from 16-30 to 70+
Yesterday it was nice inbetween 16-30, this morning it was inbetween 16-30.
However, after 2PM my ping changed to 70+ and has not changed since then.
I have made no changes whatsoever, I only have msn on at the time (doesn't make any difference if it's off anyway) and I really am getting sick of this.
Lately I also saw people with 600+ ping teleporting ALL THE WAY over the map.

The strange thing is, this ONLY happens whenever there's a patch coming up in 7 days or earlier...

Any way to fix the ping increase?
