National ESL Kickoff Cup starts Feb. 4th

Hello everyone. Due to the recent progress of new admins the official start date of the tournament is now Friday Feb. 4th. You may start scheduling matches as early as Friday and the deadline for the first round matches will be Wednesday Feb. 9th. This of course means that sign ups are officially closed. Please check the tournament member list for a complete 32 count of those participating.

After you mess around with it a bit youll notice that there are game lobbies and such. Pretty nice I think. I play with it and have had no ill effects in my gaming.

I've played with it on a ton, I've connected CF, and I've been in lobbys.

But just like that, it's already working? I don't see anything getting uploaded.

Anti-cheat is only enabled when you launch a match, event, gather from ESL. Otherwise its just a client like xfire that lets you talk to people, launch the game, etc. If you have a match you should see it in the "Play" tab, launch the game from there and it will be enabled.

The tournament tree is not final yet. Later on in the week we will expand it to fit all 32 confirmed members.

By confirmed I mean, allowed players. I had to make sure each player was from North America. Now, there should only be 32 USA/CAN players.

Good question.

The gather system will be implemented along with a League. Setting up the League will happen some time after this Cup. This Cup is a test-run/introduction for players to match up and see how things will be run.
