Life In A Day-GM Saidin?
Well, over the past few months Youtube has held a promotion where people make a short brief film of their life in day. For example:http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8Xfl_1QjxRM Really cute!
Anyways, i think it would cool if Gm-Saidin could do a Life In A Day of Crossfire. Waking up, going to Z8 Games Corp. Checking the Servers etc. It would be really awesome. You dont have to upload it on Youtube. Just share with us. What do you think?

Yeah, would be nice too see xd -
Interesting idea hah.
Not sure whether I'm going to be blogging my daily life on Youtube.
But I'll play a long here for a little.
Waking up is one of the first things I do. Ya know. Showing up and all, I can't just let all those trolls run rampant all over the game/boards!!!
A lot of the stuff I do doesn't necessarily have an "order". Sometimes that's a bad thing (stress level wise), but sometimes handling things as they come in is better for the game, or easier to prioritize.
We also do a lot of stuff here as a team. So yes, individuals DO have daily things they do, a lot of things involve working as a group and coordinating the team. Part of my job is to facilitate that team coordination. If something needs to be done, someone needs to be delegated to do it.
It's hard to go into detail about specific actions. But coming here and taking care of the forums and being here for the community is one of the things I do (awww now lets all have a big hug). I do a lot of stuff for events, both creating them and making sure others run as best they can. The team does a lot of stuff for each of the patches we get. Some people have specific roles for that. But it's not really necessary to go into exact details of what those roles are.
But for example, there is a major project in the works at the moment. Something we can't say anything about, but something that is very cool. We're still many months away from anything you guys will see. But like upcoming patches, I'm heavily involved in the coordination of the teams working on it.
Lunch rolls around, but I work through a lot of lunches, I'm usually up and down from my desk to the various other departments. I get to tell people what to do (sometimes), which can be fun! Though not for those people ha.
Then I get to do some fun stuff from time to time like Urban Warfare and Rival Factions will be coming back (more info soon) so I'll be involved in that. And creating events like the CFFA's involves taking a moment of each day during the contest to make sure peoples questions are answered, or to make any important changes, or to just check the progress to see how everyone is doing!
I should also give a shoutout here to the Moderators. I'm in contact with them fairly often, about anything from telling them "no you can't know about the next patch". To talking to them about the community, the hacking situation, getting the latest hacks, handling bans, consolidating suggestions etc. The Moderators provide a valuable life-line to the game especially when a few higher level things are taking priority. So we're always in communication via our secret little part of the forums!
I'm busiest around patch time, which should be obvious. As you all know, when we roll out a patch its not just about updating the servers. We try to get information out in various ways leading up to and around patch time. We try new things all the time, some successful some not. Sometimes I get to be creative during these times, sometimes you just have to buckle down and do the job.
And we make time to play the game ourselves, whether its at lunch, or during the day or having GMs run around in game to play with you guys. Or running live events etc. I'm not as good as I used to be, but its a nice perk working at a video game company to be able to take a quick break and hop in to a game or two to play with you all!
We have a lot of hats around here, all of us. It really is a team effort as I said, so its tough to go into a lot of detail! Hopefully you can get a feel for some of the things I get busiest with though! Days off are rare around here, all of us are truly trying to make this game the best we can for everyone playing it! -
