What does the bulletproof vest and helmet do??

They take damage off of bullets/nades hitting you. I believe a vest will take 50% of a grenade's damage.

No, not as well as opposed to grenades or knifes...

If someone shot to you it give you ~25 hp more,from nade ~50 hp and knife the same.Meant vest.

Helmet reduce damage only from gp weapons from item shop,not black market.And not all.From long range SG552,Aug,k-2,famas,m4a1,m16 and smg dont kill you,rest i think normaly pwn.From close range SG kill normal,rest sometimes kill,sometimes not.AWM destroy you from any range:)

ZP weapons,ang gp from bm havent any problems with bulletproof items.M12s the same,only from long range hs don't kill you automatically.

When i was a noob i used armor, chest takes of a whole load of nade dmg, i naded myself and i was left with 60 hp, while the head armor protects you from headshots at medium-medium long range preventing a 1 hit kill. Head armor is useless at close range.

Helmet and vest take off damage.

Easily described as "it takes one more bullet to kill you".

And in a scruff that could be the difference of win and lose or 1 and 2 more kills before you get killed.

It aint gonna protect the cra.p out of you. But you will have more fun with it. More play time. Works for me. And I have switched on and off to test. Also tested damages about a year ago but forgot the numbers. it does make a difference.

Couple that with bad registration in game ( or lag or whatever you would like to call it ) and its definitely worth it.
