mouse issues

when im aiming in this game it feels like my crosshair is sliding around my screen, its not precise at all and it makes it incredibly hard to aim. does anyone else have this issue? if so how do i fix it? it makes the game pretty unplayable

What make/brand of mouse are you using? And what type is it (optical/laser)?

intellimouse explorer 3.0, it doesnt happen in any other game ive ever played except for CS when vsync is on, i tried forcing vsync off with ati tools and ati catalyst, neither fixed it. its 450 dpi i believe

It's probably mouse acceleration.

Move your mouse slowly 6 inches and see where it is on the screen
Now, Move it fast 6 inches and it will be further then where it was last time.
It's very annoying for FPS.

it doesnt feel like mouse accel, it doesnt go faster when i move it fast, it just feels sluggish and slow. feels more like deceleration.. it feels like mouse crosshair is always slow and it catching up to where it should really be, its hard to explain

Hmmm, could be mouse registry. It's confusing to explain plus I'm running vista. Google how to edit it, and what to edit it too.
