since there lcd scaling system out ... the highest resolution u can see on ur monitor makes no fps drops ... everytime u reduce ur resolution u will get not worthly fps drop. also it makes really no difference but only for lcd monitor.
Your monitor doesn't remotely effect your fps. -
I played this other game once and it said to reduce the resolution for better gameplay. It takes quite a while longer for me to load with 1440 by 900 and it takes faster for 800 by 600. I also think my ping has gone down slightly with lower resolution.
If the resolution is better, doesnt that mean that you will see more of the surrounding area meaning it will make your fps drop since your computer has to function abit more? -

In basic terms, you won't see more, you will just see things more clearly. Think of a resolution as glasses for your eyes. -
To answer this thread in basic computer nerd terms, it varies among different games.
Yes, you will get more fps to a point, because less resolution is like less megapixels in a camera. The lesser of resolutions provides less clarity; therefore, it provides the ability to produce more frames per second.
However, I don't think you get much more on this game as you do other games.
But yes, you will get more FPS.
