XTrap stuck at 52kb!!!!

When I try and load Cross fire the HGW game launcher gets stuck on initializing and the xtrap in the bottum left is stuck on "Recv \Xtrap.xt (52Kb/959Kb)" can someone please help I have tomorrow of and really want to play this. Ive tried replacing the xtrap files with these files http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=57295 and it didnt work! If someone can help me i would really appreciate it because ive googled this and theres no awnsers to my specific problem. Oh and BTW this game was working yesturday and i did absolutely nothing inbetween last night and today. Ive tried turning of my firewall and also made exceptions for Cross fire.

Thats started happening to me dec 12th and I had to wait until today to play the game. It some how fixed itself b/c it doesnt do it anymore. No one on here has the answer yet so the best thing I can say is wait thats what I did and it fixed itself. sorry

Apex37, those files were updated as of 5/6/2010; a long time ago....

have you made a complete reinstall of the game?

you might want to undo that change you did to xtrap... could be possible you get banned for modding the game... even for good intentions...

and submit a ticket... with just this part basically:

Thanks for the help guys if I cant get it today ill submit a ticket but if someone can help me with something. I think I can fix it if someone can link me a download to all the files that should be in the Xtrap folder as of the latest update. thanks again.

Apex37, I would than gladly help you out, but it isn't permitted to show links to download stuff, from anywhere, on this forum.. I just don't want to get an infraction for it.

But you should reinstall the game, and from there it will auto update itself to the correct version.

yeah i was wondering if its from the way I downloaded it (i picked "For faster download, click here ____) and i wonder if that scewed it up so I unintalled it and then downloaded from west coast mirror #1 even though im not even close to west coast i live in canada....

the mirror's are set up to accommodate DL speeds according to your geography relative to the position of the mirror..

if you're in canada, why not go for the east coast mirror?
