"not that skill testing." i loled. swimming uses more muscles in the body than any other sport -
I'd never consider baseball a sport.
Competitively: Track and basketball throughout HS, Squash in provincial league (sat this year out).
Recreational: Archery and tennis. Only bad thing is they tore down the closest court I had to build a library... who the F needs books anyways... -
i wouldn´t consider airsoft a sport. wouldnt even say its a game. but thats just me.
i consider it a sport because we play it in big fields, carrying 3.2 kilograms from the full metal guns, and then the equipment which i dont know the weight, we have tactics and we run alot, jump, crawll and we get shot which if the guns are good it hurts -

so you play it like a game of paintball. i think if you ever fired a real gun, you are so utterly disappointed by a softgun-shot
not saying you guys should use real guns though. -
It's a fun hobby, but I'd agree with tool in saying it's not really a sport. Nothing wrong with that though...DeadFromInside wrote: »i consider it a sport because we play it in big fields, carrying 3.2 kilograms from the full metal guns, and then the equipment which i dont know the weight, we have tactics and we run alot, jump, crawll and we get shot which if the guns are good it hurts -

i have shot a real gun, i used to go hunting with my grandpa.... obviously the feeling between a real gun and a paintball or airsoft gun is not even comparable.... although has i like guns and all, and my country is not at war, (there might be a revolution against the goverment soon though) the closest to combat is airsoft, and its really good to release the stress.... its also a good training to be in the woods.... we have made a 4 day-long competition, we took tents and food and we camped in a spot, we had shifts at night to guard our camp, its a really cool thing to do, except when you are sleeping and you have to get up and grab your gun because you're under atack by the other team... -

i think hunting would be fair if the animals were armed too. but since its not, its just lame.
but yeah. some play chess, some kill animals for fun. -

i dont kill animals for fun... i lived with my grandpa in a village during the summer, so sometimes we would go to hunt for (i dont know the animals name in english) and then we'd eat it, it was some sort of non-flying bird -
There will always be varied views on hunting. I've never done it my self, but there are some hunters that I can respect. Your casual hunter that pays to have the animal baited for several weeks before hand and basically camps his known feeding spot is pretty petty and spineless (unfortunately most hunters do this), but I know a few that will still track their own for several days and sometimes weeks. Being an archer myself on top of that, I obviously respect someone who can draw 60#'s, hold it, aim and take an animal down. While people will always argue there is still difficulty in firing a rifle, having done both I can easily say maintaining aim at longer distances is harder with a bow. Not to mention most hunters nowadays have assisted stabilizing...i think hunting would be fair if the animals were armed too. but since its not, its just lame.

disgusting, lazy people.Green_Ranger wrote: »a few that will still track their own for several days and sometimes weeks.
thats different, yes. i mean if you are in the wild, having to hunt in order to survive for example. having animals killed just for their fur is a disgrace. there are several sorts of spandexfabrics that can keep you warm. so no need to go for the fur.
