Game Updates

A new year dawns for Cross Fire. Looking back 2010 was an amazing year. We accomplished so many things, we became one of the larger Free 2 Play games in the industry, at least in the FPS/Action Genre. We released countless guns, a ton of maps, 2 completely new modes of play, more events than you can shake an m4a1 at and improvements too many to count on the site and game and community. This isn't even talking about our global travels to Germany and China, and the recognition we're starting to receive around the industry and with the gamers!

It's going to be hard to top 2010, but we here at Z8Games intend on doing all we can to make 2011 even bigger. Your very own UW editor has seen whats coming soon, and as much as I would like to give out all the juicy details you'll just have to wait a little bit before we start 'leaking' some of the news!

Delivering Game Content Updates is not the only thing we plan on doing in 2011. We have a lot of web improvements we hope to unveil over the next couple of months. We've got new event ideas, including some of the popular stuff from last year like Theme Weeks, and GM run games or Z8Games sponsored playoffs/cups/tournaments. So stick around, we're only moving up from here!


Competitive Updates

Cross Fire will bring a whole new level of competition in 2011! WOGL is still the premier source for competitive play for Cross Fire and they will be continuing leagues, ladders and other tournaments all throughout the year. Even with their admin change-overs expect to see some big changes in rules and how they do things. All for the better. Don't forget to check out what they are up to here.

The ESL is also stepping their game up. Rumors are abound that the ESL NA is going to start up in 2011. And there are already tons of cups happening on the regular ESL for our European Gamers. Be sure to check out the latest cup which had signups ending on the 21st. Z8Games is sponsoring these tournaments with some Crates and weapons! The guys at the ESL are looking to do as much as they can to bring as much competition to you as possible. Check out the ESL here.

sG has sadly had to close its doors for the time being, life gets in the way some times and we here know that the most! However when one bows out, another stands up and now we have more Ghost Mode drafts taking place again on Saturdays. So be sure to check them out here.

Lastly, the OMGL is trying to get their feet wet in the competitive scene too they have their website up and are looking to get started with drafts and leagues. Have a look at their site and let them know what you think!

Community Happenings

The community has been buzzing since the new year dawned. First off we would like to thank our awesome community for making Cross Fire shine at the 2010 MMOSite Readers Choice Awards. To celebrate this we are giving you all 20% more exp all weekend long this coming weekend!

Now running down the community, we've got our M4A1 Coloring Contest still up. Have a go at it and design your own M4A1!

The Replay Vault is looking for some contributions. Do you have something to add? Add it here. And be aware movie-makers, we've got a HUGE contest coming up soon for you!

Speaking of videos. Who do you think your favorite editor is. Personally I'm a big fan of the UW Editor, he's my hero. But Neof's videos are a pretty close second!

I_AM_GOD wants to know what to do with 55k ZP. Why not tell him what you would do with that amount of points!

Lastly, if you have some event ideas and want to get involved in the Cross Fire Olympics coming up in a couple of months then now is your time to contribute. Drop them your ideas here!



Events and Promotions

It's the calm before the storm. Christmas and the Holidays brought us a ton of new promotions and events. And now we're doing a lot of stuff on the back end to plan out the great many things we have in the future.

So just keep your eyes to the site and game for news of Events and Promos. We'll be kick starting 2011 with some new Ribbons in the upcoming weeks including a Ribbon you won't want to pass up! And a huge video contest for all you film makers. So kick back, enjoy the 20% more EXP this weekend and get ready to have some real fun in Cross Fire in 2011!!
