2.4 ghz....is it or not?aTastymuphin wrote: »I'm confused. Is it 2.4 or 3.2? Also core2's are expensive for how dated they are. Athlon II's are a much better option. Refer to my 250 dollar build. Just throw on a different gpu.
You should include more details.
4gb of what? 100 mhz SDRAM? -
That GPU is pretty outdated now.
Dual-Core is also slightly becoming redundant as far as high end gaming is concerned, what with some games now recommending Quad-Core.
What kind of memory is that, DDR2, DDR3? And what's it's clockspeed?
What kind of PSU are you gonna be running?ezbitz1990 wrote: »2.4 ghz....is it or not?
Is it an Intel? In that case, the 3.1ghz would be when it's using turbo boosting technology. -

Lol I know what you mean about that quad core...when crys made me go look at the homefront requirements I nearly died.
I'm still rocking a Dx7 card and it's asking for a mid/high end build?
Jesus... -

Ikr
I bought Crysis Maximum Edition today, the guy at the store said "will your PC be able to run this." I was like "feck yeah it's rape that shizzle.
I didn't say that really, but I wanted to
You may aswell get a 240 nVidia
decent performance for a decent price. Dx11 is also supported. -

Lol. the downsides of having a rig built in 2002 and being to broke to build a new one? Lack of a PCi-e slot.
PCI FTW. Amirite? Let's not forget the used extra low profile case.
Even my current card is forced in. Doesn't fit very well.
MX400, lasted this long = amazing card. -

You could buy an external PCI-E card. I've only ever used one once, on a laptop, made the thing a beast in terms of fps. Loading times could still be an issue with some games, but meh, I don't mind that. -

Even if I did it would be bottlenecked by the rest of my build.
1 gig of 100 mhz ram.
2.0 p4 in 478 socket.
Recognizing it yet? -

You should try and run Homefront on that
What the hell is that game about anyways?
IT SOUNDS like a north korean attack on us soil.
No clue though.
And yeah. It's pathetic.
2 sticks of patriot 256
and 1 kingston 512
Edit: Trust me. Loading screen wouldn't even open. I'd get a shader model 4.0 not supported error and it would crash. Happens on 50% of games. GG me? IDC as long as i've got my beautiful 1.6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1upgtk4mcI -

ezbitz1990 wrote: »how many fps ill get for cf?
Since CF's more CPU heavy, than GPU heavy, if that processor stays at 3.1ghz Dual-Core, and what with your decent amount of RAM, you're looking at a good 70-80fps 8v8 at least.ezbitz1990 wrote: »i'll get the computer for free..im just asking if cs,css,cf and another games will work fine..
It's decent, for a free PC. You'll be looking at playing games from the 2007/2008 ranges. Don't worry, there were some amazing games back then. -
