Swear Jar for Off-Topic?
It seems like the age-old Mod vs. Forumers thing is just kinda wearing on everybody....people talk or do something considered against the rules, and they get infracted or temp. banned. Not saying either side is right, just that there isn't much of a point in it.
Why not give forumers the option to have a bit more freedom than normal in the Off-Topic section? In the Mall, give us players an option to buy a pass, for BP or ZP, that exempts us from the swearing, insulting, and trolling rules for a set period of time. Or hell, even build a "VIP Off-Topic" section for those who would buy the pass, and let us do or say whatever we feel like in there, no mods or regulations.
China has Hong Kong.
US has Las Vegas.
It'd be profitable and cut down on the infracts/arguing on the whole rest of the site to open up a small section or board for members willing to kick in a little extra ZP or BP, CF Forum would be better off with an Uncensored Off-Topic.

But a swear jar wouldn't be all that great, as it would mean the company still tolerates such behavior, just with a profit margin. Which is unacceptable. Thats like them allowing hacks and getting payed for it. Not gonna happen, sorry. -

No, I think he's just suggesting a place where players can post reasonable things (e.g. discussion about other games) without MODs bustin' their nuts... -

Hacking directly affects the game though, whereas swear words, insults, and arguments here wouldn't. All I'm saying is that it's a sensible solution to any problems on the forum. Z8 turns a profit, the mods have to ban/infract less people while still keeping order on the vast majority of the site, and the forumers have a place where they could freely speak or post, within legal guidelines.(Basically: No ****{Nude Photography}.) Any rulebreaking outside of the proposed "Free Zone" could be punished more harshly, as there'd be a place for it already.
I'm not bothered by the way things are now, but does it not make sense to tinker and continue to try to develop ideas, to progress in how we experience Crossfire, both with the game itself, and with the online community here?
