Fantasizing another melee weapon... XD
Sword and shield...
I thought of two varieties of these melee weapons/shield:
Greeks: The Xiphos Sword and the Hoplon Shield.
Romans: The Gladius Sword and the Legionary Shield.
[color="yellow]The Greeks' Xiphos and Hoplon:
The Xiphos Sword is a short sword, a secondary weapon used by Greek Hoplites in the ancient world... It may used for hack.ing (hack.ing off limbs etc... not 1337 h@xing), slashing (it's different from hack, it's swung left to right instead of from up to down or right to left. Hack has chopping force.) Or stabbing.
In CF, this weapon should have simple slashes, same damage and range as Knife. Attacks are basic (left click).
Probably the best anti-arrow shield at it's time, or even probably the best shield at it's time.
This shield is made of overlapping wood (oak) and a sheet of hard bronze over it, very strong, somewhat heavy, and nothing, no weapon, can penitrate it at it's time. It can also be used to smack, shove, and crush your opponent... in fact it's an even more stronger "weapon" than even the Hoplite's spear (but not as effective).
In CF, this weapon (cus it can be used to attack) should be a one hit kill to the head, 90 damage to the body, and the rest is weaker... Since it's a shield, it gives you immunity to all melee attacks (enemy does no damage to you if they hit your shield.)... This shield is not bullet proof, however guns will have a small amount of reduced damage to the wielder if it hits the shield. Remember, this shield can be used for attacking (right click).
Details on the Hoplon in CF:
If you stand/crouch or press the shift key to walk, you're holding you're shield up to your nose and protecting yourself in front. Else if you manually run, you're not holding up your shield and defending yourself.

The Roman's Gladius and Legionary Shield.
The Gladius Sword is slightly longer than the Xiphos... It is also used for hacking, slashing, and stabbing, but with slightly more range (which doesn't make much of a difference).
In CF, this weapon should have longer attack range (around axe and shovel's)... It should do damages between knife and combat axe (left click attacks)... and it should do one shot kill to the head (right click).
This shield resembles the modern day riot shield, covering 2/3 of your whole body from head to toe at front. it is made from mostly wood, exellent for protecting from arrows.
In CF, Unlike the Hoplon Shield, it cannot be used to attack and it resists melee attacks. bullets are uneffected by this shield. Also, to make it fair, this shield should last over about 30 blows from melee hits, and 10 hits from bullets, before it breaks and leaving you with only your Gladius.
Details on the Legionary Shield:
Same rules applies... Stand/crouch or press shift to walk to keep your shield above your body to protect you. Running keeps your shield off.
Remember... "Xiphos & Hoplon" and "Gladius and Legionary Shield" are two seperate weapons... like item shop or black market crate.

I sucked at Runescape (comparing to the pros there, I can't PK for shi.t), therefore I'll suck at most MMORPGs
(even tried WoW, sucked at that too)... But I am legit here in CF lol... -
