The hack issue did let up a bit, but "The Server is Full" bug is back and that's about as annoying.

my theory is they dont care about us anymore,they rather start useless ideas like crossfire olympics and whats your favorite character then talking with the community about the temporary hacking problem or the fact that no one got anything "amazing" during the christmas time.

The real sad part about a post like this is that a lot of information here is actually 100% incorrect.

The other sad fact is that someone like this makes a post and there's a ton of blind responses that agree with him.


So in an effort to explain what is going on I will go through some of the steps that we take during the bad times in hacking.

First off, we have accounts and contacts at almost every hack site. X-Trap ALSO has all these accounts and information for their own efforts. The developers also have them for the same reason.

Secondly, we receive hacks all the time, whether it be through our contacts, or our own gathering. Hacks are received and tested all the time. They have to be in order to make sure that it's a working hack, so that it can be submitted and patched.

Lastly, the timing. A lot of QQ Hack threads showed up recently over the holidays because there was a very large amount of hacks released over the Christmas Break. These hacks were anything from public chams, to rez file modifications (which btw is an easy block for us) to cracked VIP hacks released by the major sites.

The reason why these hacks remained in the game for what seemed like an extended period of time is because everyone working on the game was on skeleton-shifts or away to be with their friends and families. We tried to get as many hacks patched over the break as possible, but inevitably there were some hacks released from places in the world that we could not get a hold of until we were back at full capacity.

When we were back, it took less than 10 days to get a patch in which blocked many of the public hacks. And since then X-Trap has patched multiple times against hacks. Not only is X-Trap researching and finding and testing hacks themselves, the developers AND us are doing the exact same thing.

We have never said we will reduce the hacking to zero. However the more steps we take the more difficult it will be to hack in our game and get away with it.

We issue countless permanent bans through our report system, and our autoblock detection is 100% accurate and bans people all the time. The system is never going to be perfect, but we can certainly keep striving towards that goal.

So please, think a little before you blindly post on what you ASSUME is going on. There are people working here who aren't necessarily public faces within the company who are doing a lot to try and make your gaming experience as hack-free as possible. The fact that players like the quoted post, or others around here constantly rag on that fact is no longer appreciated.

I didn't say you didn't care or didn't do anything. I am NOT the kind of kids that say z8 doesn't ban those who buy zp... All I said is you guys hadn't been sharing since long and lied about xmas day's events...

Noooo I see people still using V.I.P hacks.. like this guy named "RedLoad", i was playing against that kid in a gm and lol he had one hit kill and i think aimbot o.o... Another game he just happen to be in.. It was a mutation match.. I usually got turned into a mutant and as soon as the mutant transformation actually "registered" BAM! Shot killed and no one ever said a word.. At time when he had gotten turned.. He would have speed hack on and as messed up as that sounds.. It was just wow.. Really? It actually made you think about why people would waste their time lol.

But hey its my opinion and what the mods should put into place.

Though its a good effort on you to implement the code of conduct.... isn't it that the MOD/GM who gives the infraction would do it in a more private setting with a 1v1 with the forum user?
just saying some privacy discretion is advised... we aren't a tar-and-feather mob....

OT: yea i agree, z8 does get little appreciation... especially the "unsung heroes" (devs).
