xfire is not a game its a voice/game recorder/comms software.

Go to start menu if you don't have desktop icon and it should be under programs. (If you have windows 7 just type xfire in the search bar). You can then start xfire.

I would only suggest using xfire if you have a good system as it eats memory. Especially if you are trying to record the game in a viewable (high quality) format.

If you are just looking for comms/voice it should be fine but I find that Vent and Teamspeak work better and use less memory.
