False Reporting Question
Recently it seems like I have been seeing more and more players in Crossfire threatening to report someone that they think is hacking. While I think reporting actual/blatant hackers is good, a lot of these "report threats" are directed toward players that are, at least in my opinion, not hacking. They are often times directed toward players that have above average skills and are not hacking at all.
So I was wondering if CONSISTENT "false reporters" face any consequences for reporting players that are not actually hacking? I've seen players claim that "false reporting" can lead to a ban but I've also seen other players claim that these "false reporters" don't face any consequences. So I was wondering what the answer is - do consistent "false reporters" get a ban or do they not?
P.S. Sorry if this question has been addressed already. I tried searching for it and could not find any definitive answer to the question!

Players who consistently send in false reports will be punished depending on how severe the case is it can range from a ban from our support system to bans in game. False reporting wastes our time and patience.
To make it clear, there are some egotistical players out there .. just because someone is better than you DOES NOT mean they are cheating.
I hope this answers your question. -
Consistent reports on you may make it suspicious, but you will not be banned on the basis that many people report you. Maybe your report will be bumped to the top of the priority list, but obviously, you don't get banned if they report you many times. The report is looked at with an equality for all mindset.
I'm sure that false reporters aren't always top priority.
The way I see it, maybe there are priority levels. For example, people who report the right hackers 100% of the time are top priority, 50%-99% are middle, and 0-50% are low. Either that's the way I think they are doing it at the moment, or it's the way I think would work.
Then, if many Top Priority Reporters report the same person numerous times, the report is bumped to the top of the list, and it's looked at.
Obviously, they look at reports on a daily basis. But, there are many reports [estimated thousands] sent in daily, and watching each and every replay can be a real bore. I'm sure nobody would want to get paid for that. Even if some of you forumers are willing to do it, I'm sure you would get bored very easily, even with the right mindset of banning hackers.
Also, many people do think others hack, it's just a simple thing. Many players don't know how to use sound, so when they see a player with a headset prefiring, it's a hackusation.Players who consistently send in false reports will be punished depending on how severe the case is it can range from a ban from our support system to bans in game. Adding on to Hpx, possibly, maybe when a player reports 0% consistently, they get a ban. -
Ok thank you for answering. Tbh I wasn't concerned about getting banned. I was just wondering if false reporters had anything to stop them from false reporting. Trust me I don't get hackusated enough to worry about being falsely reported
I've just heard that they could get banned and also that they couldn't get banned.
P.S. Thanks Max, it made me laugh when I saw it! Now if only there were an Uzi in it

Don't forget the motion-sickness.. Playing and watching are very different things.
I fell your Pain. A 100 mouse user sens, and dancing with an m60, the replay just makes you throw up.
And i REALLY hope some QQ-ers stop calling hack. It's tiring me out T_T
