SMG or MG (Thompson or M60) for Mutation Mode?

Recently, I've been torn apart by this decision, as I'm a huge fan of MM. The 2 guns i'm thinking about are Thompson and M60.

First of all, I'd like advice on the effectiveness of these types of guns.

For the most part, it seems that MG users have a better chance of surviving over the SMG users. I guess this is because of sheer power and force when camping.

However, SMG users seem to be quite effective too; when it comes to running and gunning, they have fast reload rates, and have lots of ammo. They also seem to be an asset when camping, ONLY when they have back up though.

Next comes the price and actual purchase methods of the gun. In my case, I only have 28k GP, and I don't buy ZP which means I HAVE to save up for an M60. My alternative is to buy crates for thompson, which I consider little more than a lottery store.

What do you guys think?

My choice would be the M60.

Definitely the M60, dude! More power, good kick to push the mutants back, and 100 ROUNDS?? You just can't beat that. As for the Thompson, it's great for pretty much any other mode than MM. Also, you are certain that you can get the M60, and do not have to win it.

MM is just a mode made for fun
that's my opinion of it... don't play much MM tho since it's almost impossible for humans to win

Thompson for faster running and faster fire rate. have a smg and mutation mag and ur all set.

I play MM to have fun. SnD is full of trash talkers and stuff. Not that fun anymore.

Anyways, if you can aim M60. If you can't, M60.

m60 + gattling combo

additional mag + mutation mag makes both guns 600 shots beast

put 2 gattlings in the cage in excavation and they will survive vs 14 mutants

mg hands down...

The best gp mg is m60, in crates we have 2:

gutling which shoots really fast and m60-adv that can make you survive a lot more.

Yeah I'd go for M60, slightly high recoil but definitely controllable and effective in a camping environment.

Imo the M60 is utterly worthless, the spray at large distances is really awful, and even up close it's very hard to hit mutants!
As for getting a thompson; The chance you're getting that gun is very slim, most likely you'll end up losing all your GP, and get a bunch of sprays and temporary weapons in return.
I suggest you save your money and go get a RPK, that gun is the best choice.

I would personally take the m60. Burst with it at the head of the mutants while camping, and you can do some massive damage to them. Be sure you have a fast, light pistol in case your camping spot gets busted and you have to make a run for it.

Depends how you play mutation mode.

If you camp a lot, take the m60, its a pretty good, +power +bullets.
I you can push a mutant to a corner, you can kill it alone.

Thompson is good too, but for me i run too fast out of ammo. More like hunting mutant.

RPK can be an option too, high power too. Like a big ak.

Im more like an agressive style when i play MM. I like to play with an AK47. You can move enought fast and have lot of power to push back the mutant. Also good for camping, but not alone.
