Massive help needed.
Guide me.
Say I were to start right now (Age 16, 11th grade education, plans of going to college)
What would I need to finish and do to make my way to Canada, Live there, get a stable job (enough to support myself), and rent a 1 room apt.
What clothing would be needed, any skills?
It's been my dream to move there all my life and I want to begin living it as soon as possible. Lengthy guides will be highly appreciated. Please hold of on any form of trolling as this IS a very important topic to me.
Ask me any type of question.

I don't plan on leaving NOW. But my goal is in at least 2-4 years.MaryJaneKB wrote: »So you just wanna get up and go now is what your saying? I would say finish school where ever you may be now and go there with at least a high school diploma ( or equivilent). -
If I'm going to live there you never know what may happen. I may consider visiting Quebec not even I know man..you said toronto, that's 6 hour drive from quebec!
Sounds like a decent plan. You can take me with if you want.
Do note I said don't joke around. -
Tell me everything man.
also if you plan to go in to QC area, it's a good idea if you don't stick out as a foreigner, they kinda rude sometimes.. it's also expensive living in the city, you might want to live in a suburb outside of toronto, it will be alot cheaper and only a 10-20 minute commute to city. -
I've been under the climate before and it isn't terrible. As for this "Home sick" I have no family in California either because they're dead or abusive fcks whom i want to get away from.I had a friend move to Canada a few months ago, she said it was pretty daunting at first and moved back because she got home sick.
So i would expect quite a change =S in environment.also if you plan to go in to QC area, it's a good idea if you don't stick out as a foreigner, they kinda rude sometimes.. it's also expensive living in the city, you might want to live in a suburb outside of toronto, it will be alot cheaper and only a 10-20 minute commute to city.
Will be highly considered.
Do you know the average monthly price of living in a 1 room apt.? Nothing fancy mind you. -

Im cool broda.

That's Quebec :rolleyes:Speak french.
Save up $2000 and maybe find someone to room with?
And you don't need to know french for college/university.
OT: For clothing, during the summer, you need tshirts and shorts (which you prbably have plenty of since you're in Cali). For the spring, you need a light sweater, tshirts or long sleeved shirts, jeans, for winter, you need a thick winter jacket (but not like a husky jacket), jeans (I guess :S or snowpants
), boots if the snow is over a foot, other than that, you can just wear regular shoes, for fall, a heavy or light sweater, long sleeved shirt or t-shirt, regular shoes. -
Yeah, if Styx flies to Buffalo (Niagra Region), he can pass the rainbow bridge to Canada, and all he needs is to show his passport and tell them what you have in your trunk/back seat. And then he can just drive from Niagra falls to Toronto which is about 50-1 hourish driving on the QEW will get him to the CN tower, and he can make his way from there.Hmm, don't you need a passport to get into Canada and then while living there a Canadian ID?
And now you will get 7-14 ping on CF

Might I ask, why Toronto?
But the place is pretty nice. It's a multi-cultural city, but with that in mind. Logically, it will be very hard for you to get a job.
Many immigrants that move to Canada, head to Toronto and will probably be steps ahead of you in securing a job.
But eventually you'll get a job there.
Alberta is nicer though. No provincial taxes 8D.
And B.C is one of the best parts of Canada because of the mountains.
Anyways, might I suggest you go into Mississauga? It's a suburban city that's beside Toronto and it's a 10 minute drive if you take 401 highway.
You'll find some great cheap and affordable 2/3 bedroom apartments there starting as low as $799. -
I'm voting for you as the most helpful.Might I ask, why Toronto?

I'm moving to Toronto for multiple reasons. My grandmothers birthplace, beautiful area, nice people, (Guessing) less polluted than LA.
It's just an area i really really love.
