Ping in Florida
I live in Florida and I've been playing this game for the past 2 and a half years without any ping problems. 60 ping with comcast highspeed internet. Lately since the recent patch, I've seen my ping jump to a stable 200. I've called the ISP and everything is fine.
I've even run different games and had a stable low ping.
My ping on vent is a stable 65.
To further back this up, I've called up different friends across different counties of my state to try playing CrossFire and sure enough they all get 200 ping. Even with comcast highspeed with powerboost and all that junk.
So i'm asking the MODS here. Why the sudden increase in ping in only my state? Is Florida being treated as BR now?
btw: US South Server is the only server where I can get a decent ping anymore. Didn't used to be like this. and its NOT the Internet Service Provider.

Actually, I'm from Plantation. With Comcast 24 Mbps High Speed & Get a Constant 57-63.
Have you tried to unplug your modem (& or router) for 10 sec. & replug it to let it restart? Or try this: Go to run> Type "cmd"> Type ipconfig /release>Then ipconfig /renew. Or optimize your net with TCPOptimizer.
(Also take note of the space after the "/")

I've done that and the results are the same. That also doesn't explain why I get 30 ping in US South and 200 in every other server. I Dont live in Brazil. -

Exactly same thing happened to me when I do scrims the first half I get like 220 ping then the next half I get like 65 ping I have the exact same internet as you and I live in same area. -

Do you run windows 7? I have several friends who switched to it (americans) and now there ping stay at a constant 130-200. After I got my new Windows 7 computer I started experiencing lag spikes (only in cf magically) of over 2,000 every minute or so.

Hm.. maybe it is 7. I get 2k pings every min as well.

im from florida to

Ive been seeing more Floridians around than usual
but anyways, when I first started playing ( 1 and a half years ago ), I got 60-69 ping - halfway thro that, I jumped to 79 with random spikes
lately now I get 90 in the morning, 100-110 at night, random spikes and constant high pings
somewhere in the mix I had constant 600 for 2 weeks
tl;dr lolz 60-69 >>> 79 with spikes >>> 90-110 with spikes and high ping
