Think before you kick on GM...
I know this is a lengthy post but please take a few minutes to read all the details before commenting.
Whenever we see someone do something incredible, like get 4 kills in 5 seconds, an idea pops into our head about the possibility of cheating or hacking. Often the person in question isn't hacking but people will kick them anyway.
This often occurs in games like GM when one team is invisible. When you get an incredible kill against a ghost, they can often have a very good reason to think youre hacking, even if you aren't. I am one of those people who is decent at ghost mode but is a lot more successful because of logic.
If you are a ghost who finds themselves dead in one of the following ways, think about these points:
(1) If someone kills you when you aren't moving, which doesnt happen often but it does, sometimes, it will often be logic. Certain people when they hear ghosts breathing, will check all the common hiding spots in the area, usually firing 1 or 2 shots into corners or on top of boxes. If their targeting reticle goes red, they have hit something and will know you are there and will pour bullets into the spot until the ghost is dead. If the ghost is in the first spot you check, they will often accuse the soldier of hacking. but they aren't
(2) If you walk around a corner or come out of a pipe just in time to be instantly killed, they sometimes have headphones on. When they do, any breathing or footsteps are a dead givaway too your position. Hacks? I don't think so.
(3) If you stab someone, and try too bhop away or whatever, soldiers will sometimes spray in a wide arc over the body till they hit something. When they kill the ghost even though they were bhopping, It can be seen as hacks even though it isn't.
Another thing possibly responsible for these events is luck. I have found that a lot of the community on this game dont seem to think that there is such thing as luck on a computer game. As soon as something lucky happens that is lucky, they blame it on bots.
One example is what happened to me. I was ranked Corporal and I didn't have any good weapons, just my basic M16. I was playing a game of Metro GM on Alpha server. It was about 30 seconds into the round and I was upstairs above the GR spawn zone. I had checked to find the area clear so I decided to go down the ramp behind the GR spawn. As I started going down the ramp from the top a group of 4 ghosts came from the bottom and rushed me. So doing one of the most stupid things in the world, Me and my team mate charged down to meet them. I jumped around spraying with my rifle when suddenly Bam! 4 dead ghosts in 6 seconds. I know that it seems nearly impossible and the ghosts had every reason too think I was hacking, but it was luck not any program. They kicked me within 20 seconds. The thing is if I hadn't been kicked I probably wouldn't have had any good luck for the rest of the game and it would have been normal. If I had been them, I would have waited too see if anything more suspicious happened, but I was kicked, ruining a good start to the game.
The main reason im writing this is because I have never used a hack in any game ever, but I get kicked frequently anyway. So please, next time you're in a situation where you think someone is hacking, think about these things and give them a chonce too prove themselves innocent. (unless of course they are obviously hacking like walking through walls or using that bot where the kill the entire other team from the spawn zone through every wall on the map.)

yeah, people often accuse me of hack but i know where the breath comes from and i'm using a winchester so it looks more suspicious when i shoot dead a ghost that wasn't moving.
An experienced player would simply say "nice" or something like that but i saw a lot of noobs
saying that i was wallhacking and all sort of stuff...I even saw a guy accusing me of 1 hit kill hack when i was using the winchester scope O_O -

Yes, the majority of the people that play cf are a bunch of noobs who don't even care if your hacking or not. If you're hacking on their team then great for them, they will win and finish their missions.
However, if you are on the other team, you will be accused of hacking the second you do something somewhat/extremely lucky/amazing. Doesn't matter if you are hacking or legit they will want you out. That's why this kick system needs to be changed so noobs like this can't abuse it. It's pathetic really... -
It does seem like that unfortunately. I tend to spectate someone who is accused of hacking either by spectating when im dead or keeping an eye on them ingame. I only kick if im certain. Another thing that annoys me is if the other team supports them and denys kick even if its obvious.

Yeah, this kids who don't know how to recognize a cheater, QQ and ask to kick vote legit players are a real problem, the only way to get away from this kind of people is making a decent channel (LT channel or higher), even there will appear some QQs noobs but not like on alpha/staff channel.

I´m a very good GR player and I get kick almost every game I join.
Kick system nees to be change cus ther are a lot of QQ'ers who don´t know how to play the game. -
UK 4 on channel 2 or 10 I'm mostly in those channels with other decent GM players and there you won't get getted kick fast but sometimes the are newbie days than the channel is full of nubs and you get kicked in every room.... pffff 22/1 with a sniper in GM is no hack just skills but still got kicked on the last round damn the newbie days >_>
But anyway otherwish try becoming "friends" with your team and you won't get kicked 50% chance -
I agree with Recon. There's just no way to be good or lucky in GM without being kicked. There's times that i've gone 14-2 in ghost mode and I get kick because some noob ghost thinks I'm hacking. I believe that all my kills against ghosts are lucky... No way to see them when they're standing still (unless their in smoke or something) and even with the headphones, I can't hear their breathes half the time, only their footsteps.
Post wasn't all that long anyways... It just looked long lol. -
Just block votekicks when there is a "real" hacker ingame. Your mates will waste a lot of votekicks till they don't have them anymore (or there are only guys left who dont know how to use it
). Then you kick the hacker and you cant be kicked anymore.
This strategy helps a lot
But now since most hackers are banned it is pretty hard. Today I have seen ~20 successful votekicks and only one hacker. 100% legit players were kicked... -

OT- ya GM is the most kick vote abused mode just because most stupid people are BR's that think any1 that is better then them is hacking. 1 of the reasons i pretty much quit GM -

The point of this thread is not a complaint, it is merely something i would like to get out into the world for people to notice and think about. If you have no usefull comments to do with this topic then there is no reason for you to be here. -
You just need to understand these :
Headphones, logic and skill are cheats.
Kat's, shovels and axe laggers with 10k+ hp are legit.
Killing a ghost running in front of you like a rabbit is cheating.
One-Shot'ing a GR from twenty meters away while tanking 700+ dmg is legit.
