The iPhone operating system, in my opinion, is getting a little dry. Could be because I have the 3GS and iPhone 4 and am bored with it.
However, jailbreaking opens up a whole world of possibilities and customisations. It's pretty amazing what you can do with a jailbroken idevice.
Android 2.3 on the Nexus S does look pretty swish though. -
I tried out my sisters iPhone for about a week to see if I should pay the extra. Still like my moto droid better. I don't see what you mean about slow response times, mine is almost instantaneous 'til I get 6-7 apps running which I can click one button and kill them all. I like the texting better on droid (maybe I'm just use to it) and droids can do a hell of a lot more when they're rooted than a jailbroken iPhone.

I got the Droid from Verizon with the Month to Month plan just to try it out.
Its slow the internet is crap.
The touch screen is NO WHERE near the iPhone.
@ Everyone else: Yeah I jailbroke of course. The iPhone is just over all better.
Its smallest smart phone its video is crisp.
Nothing else compares. -

So, you got a pay as you go android and expected it to be better than an iPhone... are you friggin daft?
Get a REAL droid and compare it then.
Seeing as you're not the brightest person in here...
Verizon offers a month to month plan no contract no nothing I just have to pay the regular price of the phone.
There is no such thing as a pay as you go droid...

Pay as you go is a plan that you buy MINUTES as you go not pay MONTH TO MONTH for a certain amount of minutes.

The software is limited by what the hardware is capable of.
A gaming computer is clearly better then a store bought p.o.s when your playing crossfire.
It's the same way with the phone, the software runs faster if the hardware is faster.
