Crossfire doesnt work for me

Whenever I try to start crossfire, an errors pops up that says "Cannot find winhttp.dll please re-install this application.
I tried reinstalling it but crossfire still wont work.
I also tried to download the dll from dll-files.com but that didnt help either.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

Download from the dll from this link and copy it to C:\Windows\System32. Or, if you already have it, copy it directly to C:\Windows\System32.

it still didnt work for me, i have windows xp professional if that might be the cause of anything, but everything else is up to date.
