Map Editor

I think I know. Just give me a map file or the folder name so I can test it.
Just share it.... there is no need to hide it because in the end it will not be usefull since putting your own maps in crossfire is not allowed this ant no counter strike....
and if your trying to start a private server for CF good luck it wil never work -
Crossfire is programmed on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithtech, which shares the same engine as F.E.A.R. and it's 2 expansions (not F.E.A.R. 2, which is developed on a newer version of the tool kit).
HOWEVER, the engine allows for the developers to develop there own tools for mapping etc. (the map files are compressed in the lithtech zip-style format, but are encrypted or something)
There is no public map designer...and to be frank, the company is so bat shiz stupid to not allow for community made maps... -

Try using blender, or 3ds max, or sketch up, I have more but I need to know what type of file is it... -

You can get a REZ editor but youre stuck with compressing it back into a REZ file and have CF recognise it.RawrJafrikan wrote: »Says you. Im pretty sure, we as players are less incompetent then those that actually get payed to work for the game.
I doubt that -

Ok first this is made on a engine, so you cant run any editor unless you own the engine, also the editor that they use is called "C++" you can google it and download it.
You cannot Download "C++" as it is a programming language and not a program. The term you might've been looking for is "C++ Compiler" that is where the actual coding is done to make "said" programs. -
None . Copyed from CF China
They do not copy. They receive information from them. Plus, guns like DSR-1 and Winchester-S are not available on Crossfire CH because they came from this forum. Now, be cause other people say Crossfire NA copies from Crossfire CH doesn't mean that is true. If you think it's true, I want evidence. -

DSr is in the chinese version im pretty sure -
Has been pretty fun watching the conversation in this thread.
To the guy that said it's "C++", no. C++ is a coding language. CrossFire might be coded in C++, but you aren't going to use C++ to make a map.
The reason I posted this thread was to see if anyone knows what program is used to create maps in CF so that, for some of these map ideas, people can make it themselves and then there's a much better chance of it being implemented. It's one thing to just name off a bunch of ideas; it's another to actually have the map and be able to show someone it, and it would allow the devs to just copypaste or edit the map instead of re-build it from scratch and try to guess at what you're trying to do. -
