Slow client launch

So i basically get no errors but when i press start on the first window it takes 5 minutes for the HGW loading bar to appear. Sometimes when i first start up windows, the first time i launch the game it loads instantly but not always. It's pretty annoying to wait 5 minutes every time i get disconnected or want to play on another account.

Have you tried cleaning your computer and re downloading, using Cybercat's guide : http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=96897

Other than that, all I can recommend is running Gamebooster, or any performance boosting program, or getting a new computer.

This is a computer error, not a CF error. I'm sorry, but nothing really can be done to fix a slow computer except upgrades.

I got 4 gigs of ram, amd processor 6x 3.2ghz

ive downladed crossfire on this computer (with the windows 7 i have) countless times, ran cleanups etc.
i think 7-8 times i've downloaded cf again and reinstalled 20 times (antivirus disabled etc). that was for some other errors though, but it never started real fast.
It's not the speed at wich it starts up, its the pause it makes between when i press "Start" on the window where it shows new patches etc. and the HGW loader starts.
