New Code
So, whom in the community feels the new rules are imposed to silence the community on issues...instead of help the community?
I personally feel the new rules are to silence those that want to speak out against BRs and Turks that continue to harass the community ingame. The CMs and GMs and MODs are to over worked and understaffed to do all the hack reports. They just want to silence us from bringing it up. And mold us to what they want.
Leave the game till they decide to implement something that works. Like banning Turks and BRs. Other then that, I give CF another year before its offically renamed CrossFire Brazil!!!

how about this, all those threads that are made just lead to hate, and then insulting messages against "BRs" and "Turks"
And since this is z8 games's forum board, if you do not like the rules, well dont come to the board.
Legally, you cannot challenge this, because they are trying to cut down on hate speech, not freedom of speech.
We can still say square things about Obama, for example, but it would be probably filed in the off-topic section.

The new Code of Conduct is not meant to silence. It's meant to direct the flow.
You can have your say, as long as its not offensive. But there is no reason to bring up multiple threads on the subject. Nothing is accomplished when the first 2-3 pages of the Barracks are filled with the same topic, in some cases virtually identical thread names too!
We hold no discrimination on issuing bans for hackers. It doesn't matter where you come from if you hack and/or break the rules of the game.
Likewise, we have never stopped you from reporting being harassed by any player. No matter where they come from.
The new code of conduct is designed to eliminate the grey area for moderation. Now that you know how infractions are handed out, you can better decide what/when to post. Because the rules are clearly stated and the banning process is no longer "broken". -

oo yea... but where I got the information is the Forum Rules,
what you linked, and I also know ^^, is the Code of Conduct, to which they lay out the punishment system for breaking certain rules IN ADDITION to breaking the Forum Rules :eek:

Does that mean its safe to play again? I havnt played more than one game of CF in over a week because I just got sick of the hacking.

And if you keep seeing IP addresses over and over coming from the same country...continuously and in larger and larger numbers...why not start restricting access?
So then what is your personal feelings about BR and Turk Players? Are they good for the community...oh thats right...99% of them arent a part of the community...because you restrict them already from posting in the forum. Kind of Bias dont you think? -

Some issues can't be solved with the flick of a mouse though, and some issues are only issues for some people.

No, we're directing the community to post in the same thread.
We here, are highly tired of typing the same thing in every thread.
We've typed it before and I'll type it again. At this point in time we have no intention of restricting (based on location) anyone from playing the game.
We legally can't say anything more at this time on the situation. We've also stated that before as well.
It is getting to the point where even yourself, as an established forumer has seen the answer to the statement time and time again. Waking up on a random Thursday and deciding today is going to be the day we're going to change our statement to this matter isn't the way to go about it. We've stated many times, if/when we can announce more information on any subject then we will.
It has now to the point where it is not our fault if people don't understand the repetitive nature of their posts. So we now have the proper tools in place to enforce the original rules of the forum, in such a way that is logically and removes the gray area of judgment when moderation is needed. -

I have just read the new code ( didnt know there was a new one till I read it here..)
I think it is long overdue for this code.
Next is enforcement. Trolling baiting and flaming happen way too often ( as im sure you know ).
I have been an admin and mod on multiple forums for another game for many years ( retired now from that lol ).
Being a mod/admin is great for the first 2 weeks. Then its real work and a real job after that. A job that requires a certain skill set that goes widly unnoticed and under appreciated and sometimes misused.
The fellas here have proven that they are on the right track and are constantly in motion doing something. Just because it doesnt happen in the blink of an eye or as fast as you want it to doesnt mean its not being done.
So Kudos to the crossfire admins group (z8/this one, tha one etc) for moving forward.
To those who do not agree:
Find the capitol to start your own free FPS and then you will see the work involved.
We will see the fruits of this new code and ENFORCEMENT in the coming weeks. So far I have seen the deleting of posts which looks good.
I still see some examples of trolling and baiting that I personally would have deleted and warned the user first time... but I'm sure as the new system finds its legs that will straighten out too.

We are and have tracked a lot of the current public hacks. I suspect we'll be seeing updates to X-Trap soon.
The Holidays were a big part of the lack of x-trap updates over the last couple of weeks. -

I really don't think anyone should talk about about ping difference unless they really experience it themselves. I don't think 99.9% of the CF community has ever played CF out of the country halfway around the world let alone outside their city or state. Most don't know what it is like to play in Europe and play a few games in the NA servers to see what it is like to be at a static disadvantage in connection.
Also and the BR and TR community is bad? Yeah, that and the fact most of them don't speak English helps us by at least not understanding their trolling. True they do plague the in game servers with bad behavior but we don't as well?
Last night I was WOGL vent with some friends playing League of Legends having a good time when some guys from the CrossFire channel above us came down and started trolling us from every word we said followed by "nerds, 1v1, bad kids and etc". Yes I do know who they are too (Someone from ScorGasm or something like that but I won't say names)
While we knew we were being trolled can you call that better than BRs and TRs? When do they come in on ventrilo servers and start talking **** the entire time and sometime people can't do anything else but leave. I think the English speaking community should take a look in the mirror before stating things about foreigners even if they are as bad as they say.
