Ping Problem

My ping changed badly today, since the old patches my ping was unstable, after this patch, it was really stable, but this day, it went bad, my ping stopped from being 80 and now staying 500+, now I can't hit people easily....

mine started spiking, its normally 50 or so but now jumps up to 1600 every few minutes

dunno how i can help though...

You guys live in california? Cuz i usually get 80 ping, but for the past week, my ping has never went under 100....so is it the servers? or just the cold weather?

I don't live in California, I live in Iowa, although I get a variety of ping between 40-100, so my ping is somewhat Californian.

Is stopped my lag spikes by installing vista anti-lag, it really helps. When vista anti-lag is off my ping spikes to 1000+, when vista anti-lag is on I never spike or lagg, unless someone is downloading something on my connection.

Now, idk if its against the rules to post links off of Z8Games, but heres the vista anti-lag link: http://www.mapmodnews.com/filemgmt/index.php?id=122
Just download and install it, then the vista anti-lag icon should be on your desktop. Open it up and do active, Enjoy the lag spike-free environment.

If you start spiking again, then right click the vista anti-lag icon in your taskbar and do show status. If its "inactive", click activate.
I hope this helps a lot of people, becasue it helped be, my connection is wireless and this program stopped my spikes!

grrr.... im from Canada, toronto to be exact.. and my ping wuz always at a stable 11 or 19 o.O.

now recently..i have a stable 80+ ping o.o with the often 3000ping+ every too often to count

This really makes cf a turn off..you cant even play a good game with the constant spikes.
Although the only solution is to wait for z8 to fix it..im afraid its guna be a loooooonnnng wait

Ever since the xmas patch, my ping has jumped from a stable 60 ping to a stable 200 ping between the times of 7:00pm and 11:00pm.
I live in Florida and my buds that live in the same region also have the same problem at the same timeframes.

Playing in US south server turns my ping back to 60 only while I'm there. Any other server will give me 200ping unless its any other time. >_> QQ
hope the next patch fixes this.

it does work, if u don't want to use it to stop your spikes then thats your choice. At first i thought it was a virus, then i used it and it worked 100% for me.

If you think it has a virus then scan it with your anti-virus.

if you get higher ping but its stable, then thats a server problem of z8games area(hope they fix that soon). But if you lag SPIKING every couple of minutes, then vista anti-lag will help you...it helped me and i dont spike anymore.

Do you have bitorrent or Utorrent open? They make you lag alot check the bottom right of your screen cause there is still programs open and can make you lag.

Nope, but thanks for asking, I use GameBooster, my ping will stay the same no matter if it is on or off.
