Ribbon Guide, and All Other Guides..
So I guess the ribbons have been left behind just like the rest of the guides.
I think it should all be updated, or taken out completely, seeing as no one that can edit the site is interested in it.
It's a waste of space, IMO, to have outdated, uninformative, and usually innacurate guides on the website.
Any thoughts?

oh ye, well this is cf were talking about, they never completed anything and instead just went with the new: "what could make peoples happy for a few weeks" thing. -
oh yea... those guides are waaaaaaaaaaay behind the times....
ribbons... meh i tried and now i fail... couldn't get sniper week ribbon, and now probably wont get that christmas one for winning a xmas gun/item
back to just pubbing and ranking up the hard way

Would you rather have guides that are explained through common sense updated, or the site worked on and issues fixed?
When the time comes, they will be updated, but it's not like it is top priority of the staff at this time.
Staff is busy with many things, and this just isn't much of a priority. Looking around at many of the CF sites, I've never seen one of these completed. -
The staff has put this on themselves. No one asked them to make these guides. If they were shorthanded to begin with, why bother putting extra weight on their own shoulders...?Would you rather have guides that are explained through common sense updated, or the site worked on and issues fixed?

I like the ribbons, I really do, they were a creative idea, but dropping the guide, which could be updated EASILY in 10 minutes, puzzles me.
And I understand your perspective, but aesthetics are just as important as functionality.
It's like adding an extra level to a flash game, but having to drop the project and leave it there because of some glitch. It just sits there. People get excited seeing it, and realize there is nothing there.
I'm sorry, but the generic "there are more important things" answer seems to be a little abused.
And just because a different CF doesn't have their guides completed, it doesn't mean we have to follow them every step of the way.

I'm not saying it isn't nice to have it, but there are more important things. The ribbon guide is something that will definitely be updated, but it was the Holiday Vacation, and they are just getting back in action, so be patient about Ribbons -

Nah they haven't been left behind. The 3 new ribbons haven't been added to the main page because of the holidays. Don't worry, the new ribbons will be added, as well as all subsequent ribbons.
We do understand that some of these guides aren't the best site content. One of the big things we are working on in 2011 will be some much needed site improvements for both CF and Z8.
And yes please, keep bringing these to our attention! And don't feel bad for doing so either! -

Out master plan was foiled when we couldn't convince the entire world to spend hours and hours on our flash game! So we gave up on it.
Seriously though, we really liked making that game, and it was unfortunate it came with some small glitches, hardly that bad though mostly scoring issues. A leaderboard was going to be too complicated to implement with our site, and there ultimately were more important things to work on.
We do understand that there are people who like, and have liked that stuff and want to see more of that. And while I don't want to count out mini-games in the future like that, don't hold your breath for that flash game to be completely fixed. It's just not a high enough priority especially right now when we're dealing with this hacking issue etc. -
Mudk1ps have not evolved for over 2 seasons of Pokemon and have been discriminated against. Even in the video games you people are talking about, mudk1ps only evolve twice, compared to Pikachu who evolves up to TWO time! It evolves into Marshtomp starting at level 16, who evolves into Swampert starting at level 36. It's our time to make a stand, join the wildlife foundation to help against such discrimination.

I agree with this on every level.
But the guides, i feel are very important. Flash games, not so much.
guides can be completed in less then a day, it's just typing some things. I would understand if it was only incomplete for a few weeks. but it's been like over 6 months since it was updated. -
Gahhh people don't understand similes. The "flash game" scenario was a simile. The behavior you are portraying is LIKE adding a level to a flash game and not doing anything with it.
Had nothing to do with the Crossfire flash game, which I thought was pretty cool.
