Crossfire.exe virus????

I just downloaded Crossfire again because of a hard drive issue. Everything downloaded great, but when I tried to start the game I got a virus warning for "crossfire.exe" and it shuts the game down. This is all before the login screen. My AVG program is detecting it but I had AVG before and played the game with no problems. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Its not a virus just a false positive. My anti-virus said it was a Trojan so It wouldn't let me run the game. Let it through and the game should work.

Did you download it directly from this website or you downloaded it from another website?

there have been reports like that with AVG detecting crossfire.exe as a false positive

just put the game in your "safezone" or green zone or clean area, u know?
i call it putting a trust file check on that program

Your having that probblem only because of AVG, switch off the AVG detecting virus in the area you saved the CrossFire

Thanks everyone. I downloaded it from the Z8Games website and that's why I thought it was weird. I'll just tell AVG to chill out and let me play. LOL Thanks again!
