How come cf comes with a virus?
I recently took my computer into the shop because it had all this virus and other stuff on it and they downloaded some super nice anti-virus software. So I went home and started to get on CF when all of a sudden it is like "Application Cross Fire - Trojan Virus detected"

so yeah is there no getting around the cf virus or what?
Cause I don't want anymore viruses on my comp!

are you 100 because it says trojan detected and that could be very bad! and if this program was full proof how come it says that? I mean like how come a virus is detected? -
its a false positive, looking at what you wroth you arn't advanced with computers so i will try to keep it simple.
crossfire use xtrap, what that does is check your pc for .dll files runing, and other known hack metodes. its simply one of the game's protection against hackers.
.dll files are also used by your pc so its not nececerly a hack, but xtrap was programed to ignore them.
your anti virus run a scan and see somthing that search for .dll files. thats all it knows, that it search for .dll files, and in most ocasions, that could mean a virus trying to find a .dll file and do somthing with it. so the anti virus does what it do best and block crossfire. its what we call a false positive, its a program thats not harmfull but work a bit like a virus and is detected as one. just set your anti virus to ignore crossfire and it should stop detecting it. do be wary though, not evrething is a false postive, somthing could actualy have atached itself to the crossfire client, but that dosn't come from z8games and would be coming from somthing else you got. but if you indeed got your pc cleaned up, that posibilty can be ignored.
tl;dr: crossfire dosn't give viruses. -

You are using AVG Right?
hahahahaha.
add it to exceptions... -
And the REAL reason why it's being picked up as a virus is because the file packer they use to protect the game files is also used by alot of viruses (can't recall the name right now)...so AV's pick it up by heuristics.
There is nothing wrong with CF, period.
