Taking post count off of a board makes it a blog, not a board.
No, it's still by all means a board, you just won't have a number under your name.

Definitely agree with this idea that post count should be removed. Would cut the amount of pointless spam on the forums by probably a good 90%

And increase intelligent conversation by 100%.

Every time I read a thread there is some pointless response like "umadbro", "cool story bro" and "kthxbb" along with longer posts that are a sentence or so long but nevertheless still pointless.
  • And this why exactly z8 should bring in the 'Karma' system.

So post count farmers and the post count QQers will both be happy.

  • People with high post counts are usually "trustable".
    That's it.

Karma would simply be abused, friends repping friends.

This is a forum for discussions post count is irrelevant anyways.

    Get friends?

Karma is a system that would be much appreciated then the post count.

That way everyone would be farming for Karma and to get Karma you actually have to use your brain and be helpful.

    Karma>Post count

This is the ONLY thing i meant. Because it HAPPENS TO ME everytime i come in the forum looking for some usefull info, or any other doubt i get...
What happens is, instead of a sequence of meaningful info, i find some info and 50% "Stuffing", which is mostly done by people who want to increase the post count.

AND I CAN'T SEPARATE THAT RUBBISH NO ONE CARES FROM THE **** I WANNA KNOW

Didnt mean to insult anyone when i first started this..(although i did already and dont rly care about who i hurt feelings) | was just a problem i found, that affects everyone coming in the forum (i care more about me though)

PS: Forumers clan is the stupidest clan i found so far. I feel bad sometimes for not doing stuff and spending so much time playing CF. That made me feel good though. Thanks LOLfacingwherever.. enjoy ur post count, maybe u'll be a grown up when u reach 20000:D
    probly not tho
  • ANY MODERATOR GOT OPINIONS ON THIS I SHOULD KNOW?
WOULDNT IT MAKE THE FORUM CLEANER IF THERE WAS NO POST-COUNT?

any mod think about this a type about it, i would like to know ur opinion

    thanks

im not anti-post farmers... just anti-CANT FIND ANYTHING STRAIGHT
  • Sadly, even with post count gone, you are going to get those short and moronic comments. Post count will do nothing to stop that, immature people are going to be immature people regardless of post count. It is not ALWAYS true that a high post count means that they just spam for numbers. In fact, there are quite a few people who have a higher post count and actually contribute to this forum a lot. Sure, I agree with you that A LOT of them farm their post count but the former is also true.

Ending post count MIGHT cut down on some of the spam, but not all of it. There are still going to be plenty of people out there that will post useless comments simply because they don't care. The Karma system would not be favorable unless there was a way to keep people from farming it. The whole point of the system is to reward users for posting USEFUL content and not just to get karma from your friends.
  • I don't know anyone on these forums who farms post count.

    Names, please?

Karma system can be used if only MODs/GMs are able to award Karma points.
Usually people with high post count tend to post more nice ideas. That's as stated not a rule.

    That's actually a pretty good idea. :)

I could farm in game too but it's kind of pointless:p
  • Ok thanks polleus... That makes some sense too. Most here are teens and small-minded

Cleaning the forum once in a while wouldn't be a bad idea though. Too much text without information here, most is.

I still think that no post-count would stop this nonsense by A LOT, but who cares? im not in charge
  • No idea to end post count. Ppls who post something short and just to get a post counted.. don't waste your time reading it.
