regarding fraps live recording

Well, I record with Fraps 60 FPS (half-size) if I try to do ingame.
60 fps will seem just fine, and half-size is a little bit choppy, but you save space and you can record in higher fps.
I think thats what you meant lol..
60fps is what the eye can read at max, somewhere I saw on this forum... -
I was just wondering how some people can record live footage (in-game) using FRAPs or any other recording software and it coming out smooth even if they usually only have an average of 80FPS.
Don't know if I worded that right but I'm really tired
Half Sized. Usually don't set it at 60. Really in a vid 45+ Looks smooth. -
You need a hard drive that is able to write information quickly, solid state drives work amazing in this aspect. Along with this your CPU/GPU needs to be able to handle the stress and work great with the amount of RAM you have. To put it simply, you need a better computer then most people playing CrossFire have. Some people can play with the "lag" when recording with Fraps, so it really depends.

Maybe try to spectate scrims instead of recording yourself live. A lot of teams will let you, since I used to do it quite a bit in the "early WOGL era". Also not sure what your recording settings are...Even with a good computer, some hardware cant handle what Fraps does. I'm guessing your going for 720p too, so in that case don't use extra resources with the highest resolution if your recording yourself. 1280x800 should work well enough if your not trying to get pixel perfect quality you can get from making large resolutions smaller.
I really don't know right now, try playing around with settings in-game, fraps, video card. -

hell idk, but when you don't, 1million people complain that either you're hacking or ingame recording looks better.
