In-Game Report System Revisited

Many people have suggested an ingame report system.

Pros
Alot more hackers will get reported.
This would mean a better community.

Cons
Abuse of Report button.
Over Load of GM work.

Revisited.
1. I suggest to place the button into the game.
However Players cannot report until after the rank of Sergeant.

2. Each player can Report 2-3 times in a 24 hour period.

3. New Accuacy Report system.
Everyone starts with 10 points. Each time a report is accually submitted, (The person that is being reported is indeed breaking a rule) The submitter gets a +1 point on their report rank. If submitter gets +50 points they get the ability to report 4 times a day (+100>5 times, +200>6 times). When player reach +100,+200,+500... they get the ability to wear special items such as a special hat or pack that shows that they are contributing to make Crossfire Community better.

Each time a false report is given, -3 points will be given. when players reach 0 points or -30 within 1 month the player will get an auto 7 day ban. After the ban, Player with 0 points will get 5 points and people that got -30 within a month will get -50% of their current points.

=D just a suggestion

well it was just an suggestion.
The people who get to 0 points have have their reporting rights taken away.
  • A little adjustments here and there and i think this idea should be developed into the game.
    I like this idea. +1
  • Agree with most of your suggestions

That is an awesome suggestion. It seems pretty clear that we can implement the already here honor system to go along with your karma points... But instead of leaving rooms and such, use a point system, with reflection into the honor (good honor, very good honor, terrible honor:D)

Also there should be a way for a user to reset his karma points, say after like 3 months of not reporting, it goes back up to 10... same for the positive side, it goes back down to 10.

The awards for reporting after accumulating certain amount of karma points... well I can't think of something to say contrary to it other than the fact that that idea needs revision, but can't say to what:mad:

I hope other Crossfire Forum Posters come here and read this thread, its very enlightening and seems a little more community friendly here too...

And right there, will result in 23950735x more false reports than there are already, in the hope that enough are legit enough to keep them from being blocked.
  • lame ideea, why? becouse it is way easyer to give us personal black list so we can prevent hakers or players with bad atitude to enter in our rooms and the didn't do it, and u want them tu elaborate a new report sistem and a reward sistem not a chance.

That’s because chances are they aren’t. Most of the players who cry “waller” are f.ucking noobs who abuse the vote kick. No one should be kicked unless they are blatantly hacking. How are you supposed to prove that a player is a “waller” or not if you are playing on the opposite team? What if the “waller/chammer” is playing with headphones? I get called waller all the time by noobs even though I never hacked my game client. You're all paranoid noobs. Learn to play before you start hackusating and kicking players non-stop.

    Noobs
  • Hello,

    I have a question :

When i save a game in crossfire,How/where I find the save in my Computer ?

    pls help

i have see a many players with hack.
  • This is like the fifth post i've seen about this -_-
  • I think this idea could work but all what you suggested honestly would not work at all. I would not like to be limited in the number or people i can report, becuase if i genuinely think they are hacking i will want to report them. But in order to stop spam reports i suggest that only 1 copy of each game can be sent so for example, if xplayer reports the game then x2player tries to report the game he will get a message saying it has already been reported. And knowing there will be noobs who think everyone who kills them is a hack, therefore they will make many false reports i suggest for everyone who makes a false report somewhere on the system there will be a tally kept and if you give in more then 3 false reports you are banned from submitting reports for a month or so for abusing the feature.

Start with 20 reports per day and it would fit. Currently you would need this amount of reports for a single game because there are at least 3 or more cheater in each game. And when I say cheater I dont mean "wallers" but those who kill everything before the game starts.

I even like the idea of punishments for negative reports. I would totally agree to that.

People like you are what overload the system. There are max one hacker per three rooms in this game.

There's only one problem with that suggestion. Currently, 8to9 ou of 10 games have at least one n00b hacker present, so your point system will be over even in only one game.
