Soldier, Sniper, Scout, Assassin, or Elite?
While related to the current badge system, this suggestion does not alter any portion of the current selection. Instead, this suggestion expands on the idea to take it a step farther.
I suggest that players are given the ability to choose specifically which type of player they are. A Soldier, for example, would be more comfortable and adept at using Machine Guns and Rifles. As another example, an Assassin would be more comfortable and adept at using knives, axes, or shovels.
In choosing which type of player they are, they can earn bonuses to game-end EXP by completing map-specific requirements. A Soldier would need to obtain 10 kills in a 100-kill TDM using a Machine Gun or Rifle. Any other gun wouldn't count if they had chosen Soldier before beginning the battle. Similarly, a Scout would need to obtain 10 Pistol kills in a 100-kill TDM.
Unlike daily missions which are once per day, each map would have the potential for the bonus EXP at game-end. A Sniper that completed ten 100-kill TDM maps, reaching the requirement of 10 Sniper Rifle kills in each map would get the bonus EXP 10 different times.
The amount of bonus EXP would be considerably small; 2% of total gained EXP for the map, for example. This gives players a small additional bonus for using their favorite type(s) of gun(s).
The ability to change a player's preferred type could be enabled or disabled, whichever feels more fitting. I personally would want it to stay as selected (with the potential to change it once per purchase with GP/ZP).
This would push new players to achieve and provide a small bonus to players who already excel. It would be a short-term motivation (per map) to do well. I rarely see many players under 10 kills in a 100-kill TDM, so I don't think it would be too much of a problem to reach that goal. 150-kill TDMs would have a higher threshold, such as 15 kills. The type of requirement would depend on the type of map and the kill/time setting.
As examples:
GM Ghosts would always achieve their goal if they got any 3 kills in a 5-round match.
GM Global Risk players would have their normal selection and achieve their goal if they got 5 kills with their respective weapon in a 5-round match.
EM players could achieve their goal with any weapon if they got a specific amount of kills.
20 kills in a 12-minute TDM doesn't seem too much to ask.
The point of this is not to make it unattainable for new players, but to push them just enough to get there. People who are considerably better, veterans, would get the bonus all of the time (even though it is a considerably low bonus).
Discussion, debate, and constructive criticism are naturally welcome, while off-topic posts and flaming are frowned upon. Do not be frowned upon.

I see it this way:Yes, add a class selection option.
I failed to mention the different weapons for each though:
Soldier: MGs, Rifles
Sniper: Sniper Rifles
Scout: SMGs, Pistols
Assassin: Knives/Axes/Shovels
Elite: A combination of all of the above.
Soldier: MG/Rifle/Grenade
Sniper: Sniper/Pistol
Scout: SMG/Shotgun/Pistol
Assasin: Melee
Elite: Shalln't be there as it will bypass the system and allow the bonus EXP for any kills with anything. -

I don't really see Grenades coming into play. They are usually random. Perhaps, if in a class of their own, they should be considered, but due to the sporadic nature of getting kills with them, I see them as a non-class related kill.SwEBobby1995 wrote: »Sythera1 you're wasting your time. None of your suggestions will ever be something. Even though they are good.
-Crossfire doesnt care about players opinion.
Actually I have nothing better to do. Hackers start coming on around this time.
As for Z8Games not caring about player opinion, I am certain that is not true. I know it takes a lot of work, a lot of effort, a lot of man-power, and a lot of time to create content out of suggestions, which means that it will be a long time in coming if implemented, but it is worth noting so they can put it on their board of ideas to play around with.
As for Elite, I meant 3 Soldier, 3 Sniper, 3 Scout, 3 Assassin kills to reach the requirement, not one particular one but all of them together. Sorry that was unclear. -

does this sound like COD to anyone..with like AK74u marksman etc.etc...
i don't know if they'll add this..and personally i don't care..but if i were to say if i wanted this i would say.. no..
im one of those guys..who play this game for fun and in honour to have fun, i don't need anymore objectives...the badge system is fine, i just play for it....but im a sniper and a soldier...am i to be given a sniper/soldier responsibility in this? like honestly, i think the bonuses should be kept for ace and mvp...
