A staple SMG...
I'm planning to get a SMG later on (ZP and GP won't be a problem) but I don't know what to get. Kriss Super V seems to be a staple in scrims, but M12s has been showing up everywhere lately. Then there's Thompson and it's massive clip holding 60 bullets.
I'm going to use the SMG in every game mode when I can't really pull out a kill with my rifle (I'll have 3 bags: rifle, SMG/shottie/MG, sniper. All will be occupied with a pistol), so I'm not tending to use it in a specific map or mode.
I've used Kriss Super V before, and coming off the AK-47, it just felt weird: accuracy was off and power dropped. M12s, I own on my other account, but it still feels weird coming from my AK-47. I've never used a Thompson before, but my bros say it's really good (I like its huge clip tho). Personally, I wanted an Uzi, but I wanna hear your opinions first.

I say go for the thompson because it will be easier to obtain than the kriss and will cost you less. There is still a slight chance you may not get either so be prepared to have to settle for a gp smg. If this happens then just get an m12s because imo it works better than the two.

Is M12s really that beast? I've seen people play with it but they can almost never get a k/dr of 2+ (well in Egypt).
And what about Uzi...? -
Not Kriss, Thompson or M12s, their problem being their noobgun abilities.
MP5 would be a good choice. Packs awesome accuracy and is balanced on all the other stats having a good mix of reload rate, lightness and damage (for an SMG).
K1A is a powerful and prescise SMG, although somewhat heavy. It feels like more a rifle Rate Of Fire. It behaves as a shortrange rifle.
P90 is surprisingly effective while giving short burts of 5 - 6 bullets to the head. This gun allowed me for a 6 kill streak with it once. Unfortunately it's reload is as long as AWM's, if not longer, leaving you pretty vulnerable. -
Get the MP5.
It has a good RoF, is accurate and just feels great.
The Uzi is good for having fun, but you are way to fast out of ammo and its inaccurate.
P90 is also inaccurate, but has low recoil. Because of its low RoF you wont get many kills with it,
because you have already 5 bullets in your chest/head when you fired one bullet(a bit overdone).
