Wheres the explosive charge?1of300sparta wrote: »how much fps is ur guns? over 500 is a firearm
Can you shoot people with real guns? Yeah I suppose but I don't think you will be too happy after.why spend all that money on a fake gun when you can buy a real one for the same price?
My tip, dont waste money .
OT: use cover, and if you can get some sort of scope that has a zoom, that is if its not CQB. -

Assuming you haven't spent an insane amount of money on your gun and you're not firing it at a velocity that can kill people, any kind of magnification is going to be more or less worthless. Airsoft guns don't generally get that kind of accuracy. If you've got a decent quality springer or gas sniper rifle, an unmagnified scope might be worth the money. Otherwise, hipfiring and iron sights will get you by just fine. -

Airsoft guns are not considered firearms. There may be a certain limit where the airsoft gun would count as a deadly weapon in legal cases, but that doesn't change its classification. As far as I know it's not illegal to play with high velocities, but if someone gets hurt and sues, the charges can be much more severe. -

no, i was told that if a airsoft gun was to break a set limit of fps, it is considered a firearm, at least in canada -

Ah. In Canada, all airsoft guns are classified as firearms regardless of velocity. In the US, Federal law qualifies them as toys (although it's illegal to remove the orange tip). My mistake, I assumed we were talking about US law. -

@jillzwut you never said it was your first time going but what did you think?
An air-softer told me to play CF, and I still airsoft from time to time. I went and did CQB in a little warehouse near me on New Years Day. What is great about it is that you can rent everything like paint-ball so its not that costly if you only do it once in awhile. (I own my own stuff cuz I play a lot)
@[MOD]D34d3y3 & @1of300sparta - Its not so much law as if you are playing Airsoft legally (paint-ball field or if you are lucky enough to have a place that does Airsoft exclusive) it is the insurance people that set the limits of 300fps with .25bbs indoors and 400fps with .25bbs outdoors with sniper exception of 500fps still with .25bbs.
Also If you get a chance you have to play CQB with a pistol and a shotty. It is hilarious. You pump shotty with legs while you cover with pistol. Double Pistol is a lot of fun too.
