I hear that 60 FPS is the maximum FPS a human eye can catch. So even if you have 100000 FPS, you will still see 60 FPS in your eyes
Doesn't affect gameplay in any way at all.
I think the human eye actually catches 25-30 FPS somewhere in that range. Seems like when I play with 25 FPS I can see each individual frame, so maybe it varies slightly from person to person. :S -

btw im not worried about my eyes,xD ive just seen other players complaining about their fps being to high etc, so i was just curious if this was true.
from what you guys have said it shudnt be a prob =] do thanks.
Higher the FPS smoother the game play. I use to have a PC that only did 20 fps on low graphics and I sucked. I got a new pc and now playing on 310 fps and my game is smooth -

currently my laptop is like 10 -30 and its realy unstable, but sometimes it stays at 40-60 for a minute, then i kill aload, then back to 10-30. its mega annoying

My FPS is at an of average 300FPS. Does it hurt me? I don't think so. Remember that you can bring your FPS down easier than to bring it up. That is done by re-setting your video card res and quality. Here is a site for you to read about, How many frames per second can the human eye see? 100fps.com
All of my setting are set at high Quality. Also I have seen my FPS go upto 465 -
how do i increase my fps? i got like 25 fps.
Turn off everything you can which is running in the backgound.
Update graphics drivers.
Upgrade graphics card.
Upgrade CPU.
Turning on v-sync in your graphics options will limit the FPS output to match the refresh rate of your monitor and prevent the screen tearing effect when the screen is being refreshed. While the graphics card will still do alot more working in the background to keeps things running smooth.
No such thing as too many FPS. Only too little is bad.
