omg FINALLY someone says something i keep going from my normal ping 79 to like 30000 for like 5 seconds and then it goes back to normal and this happens even when nobody in my house is using internet and sometimes it will sat yat 125 consistently when my normal ping is as i said 79

You can live 1000000000 miles away from the servers and have the best internet, but your ping wouldn't change by a lot. Ping is determined by how far you are away from the servers. If your ping constantly gets bigger every time they patch, then its not your internet.

Lol i get under 115 ping in every server 23 in alpha bravo etc South severs 69-72 UK 105-110 Others idk >:]

Well said. Its about time someone that knew something came around. For those that still dont understand think of it like your wireless router. The farther away you are the worse your connection. Kinda the same with distance to the server only a much larger scale.

My ping is normaly 32-34 and spikes up to 50 -60

From what I am seeing in what your guys ping spikes its not nearly enough to say your downloading something. Maybe for some of you something could be running in the backround.

I just reinstalled on my comp and it still spikes even though CF is the only thing on it at the moment.

yeah as of now mine is never stable 30-98 all the time... sometimes at night it goes to 120 for like 15 minutes straight

Its actually both. If you have a pour internet connect/speed then yes that will affect it greatly. But if you have say 5 mb/s connection and your ping is 40 per say. Well if you got a 10 mb/s connection to replace your 5 mb/s you ping wont drop to 20 it will stay at 40 due to distance to the servers. Theres a point where your internet connection cant give you a better ping.
