Is it worth buying?

I have seen some pretty good items which would keep me alive a little longer.

As for the crates, are they worth it and what is the chance of winning this AWM Christmas?

dont waste money on crates, its a rip off!
zp are useful if you want some advanced guns like awm camo or m4 adv. or if you dont have enough gp to spend on guns you want to buy.choose wisely and dont get lost in the big world of zp :D

I was mainly thinking about buying Armour and Exp+ Gear. I just wanted a balanced+unbiased opinion on the crates AWM RD/Xmas.

Why is it a rip off?

It's not a rip off, you just have to be really lucky to win something good. Really lucky... Winning other things like coupons and GP from the crates make it worth the money.

He's just saying it's a rip off, because he hasn't won anything.

Really the chances of winning are low, so I wouldn't really recommend buying crates as you probably won't win a gun. However, this is your choice and if you're lucky enough to win, then good for you, enjoy your new weapon.

As for the exp+ and armour etc... you can do a few surveys and buy those, but you don't really NEED them.
  • The real question is: Are you willing to put the real money in the game when there is big chance you got nothing permanent for it?

Ive spent a lot of zps on crates, havent won many times, still i dont regret it, because i know what gambling is about :D;)

If you want to play competitive, here is a tip ; DO NOT BUY ARMOR, you will get QQ'd at!

As for the crates ; It's all luck.

Not unless you know your gonna win. Every time i've cough crates i've won it except for deagle camo. :)

    Lucky you :D
Ive already spend more than milion GP on anaconda-adv and still havent got it.. Still i really dont regret it, its part of the game :D
  • If you buy zp make sure you get all permanent stuff you actually need. I mean a rifle, a sniper, 2 deags and full nades. After that you actually should be fine more or less.

Armour isnt really necessary and its expensive as well so yea it would be a waste more or less since its not permanent. exp+ is pointless as well since noone cares about ranks anymore and its not permanent.

Dunno about crates you can get lucky or not. I didnt win the ak scope after about 1000 crates, won the ak camo after 400 crates but on the other hand I won the deag scope in 5 crates. So ye id say it all depends on how much you are willing to spent.
  • In my last 20 crates I won M4-adv for 3 weeks, AK-camo 1 week, something around 100.000 GP & 10 coupons. I think it worth it.

I don't get why people would spend 1 mil GP just on one gun after 200k just give up seriously

With that 1 mil you could have bought you're self 69 conda's
  • I agree, the GP crates are way too expansive. After I'll get all the GP weapons I'll try the GP crates.

    What does that mean?

People will call you noob and such. Not a problem, it just gets really annoying.

Let them, it doesn´t bother me.

I´m expieriencing that right now in game. I have been playing a few days and i´m already being called a hacker.

Gamesense and a decent headset plus some useful guides = hacking?

And I have been kicked for "blocking" someone. In truth he was stuck and got his *censored* handed to him. I mean seriously how is it possible to fail at camping? xD

The thing is i dont want 69 anacondas.. And tell me what else i should buy with such amount of useless "money".. Yeah, i could buy all weapons, which seems quite pointless to me when there is only 4 bags to fit them in.

There are two distinct groups of people within this community. The competitive players and the non-competitive players. Unfortunately, it seems to have become a standard to play with competitive weapons within public games and if you are the one not using the preferred weapons, you will get yelled at or kicked. Don't let it bother you, that's just the way of it here.

Public games are for just that -- the public. Use whatever you want. The ZP weapons and items do give you advantages, but I wouldn't recommend spending everything on armor. It really doesn't keep you alive much longer in this game. I would focus on getting at least a rifle, a sniper, a secondary and all your essential grenades (smoke/flash/frag).

One of the most used ZP weapons is the M4-Adv, which is the silenced variant of the M4 that you can acquire in the Item Mall. Then you have your crate weapons, which are completely random. You may win a weapon in one crate or in 100 crates and even more. It's all luck with crates and some people view it as a rip off because they don't win very much. Some people just have bad luck.

The best secondary weapon in the game is of course the Desert Eagle in terms of power. As a sniper, I've seen a lot of use from either the Desert Eagle or the P228 (Larger clip, faster rate of fire, less damage). Other than that, you should be good to go. As I said before, if you're here to play competitively, it would be wise to familiarize yourself with the competitive style of play here with the weapons and strategies. If not, then enjoy public games and learn not to get frustrated with being kicked. It WILL happen a lot. I get kicked sometimes for absolutely no reason. That comes with this community unfortunately.

http://www.wogl.org/forums/cf-open-league-information/24217-cf-open-league-rules-season-2-10-a.html - You can sign up for an account and view this page to get familiar with our main league's rules. They have an Open and Professional division and I have listed the WOGL-Open rules for Season 2. It's a good starting point if that's what you're looking for.

Good Luck. Enjoy your stay here while it lasts. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me and I'll try to answer them as best as I can. Have a good day.
  • It seems I will have to put up with the commnity then.

WOGL sounds good. I´d like to get in a clan that I can train competitive play with. Any reccomendations?

As a Secondary, i´ll be getting myself a Desert Eagle I got to try gold version from someone in game.

As for ZP, how much would I need to buy in order to garentee getting the AWM RD ?

Am I allowed to use the SPOP char in competitive play? (I plan on buying her, Female :p)

There is a chance that you buy 1 mil crates and you wont win it. There is no guarantee to win the awm rd. Also if you plan on playing in any leagues the awm rd is not allowed since its a crate gun.

SPOP is not allowed in esl/wogl and prolly will never be allowed in a competitve league. Also why would you pay money to look like a girl in a video game :S
  • Lol,only Crates make sense to buy for ZP.
If you buy some youll get a load of GP for perm gunz, some really good wepz for some days, coupons.
I mean instead of buying m4adv for 7 days for 2k+ ZP i prefer getting 6 random things from crates, there will very likely be 1 7days gun in them or atleast like 5k-20k GP.

R.O.C, Deluxe, Team Visualize are names that come to mind.

http://www.esl.eu/eu/crossfire/sd/5on5/ladder/ - This is ESL, the other league mainly for EU players. You can look to see teams on there to get an idea of who's active and such.

Nothing is really certain with crate weapons. I won the AWM RD in 10 crates and others have yet to win it. It really is plain luck, so I can't give you any kind of correct number on that one. Sorry :p Not to mention that I don't believe the Red Dragon is allowed in the competitive scene. Correct me anyone if I'm wrong here.

No, you are not. In most competitive rule sets the female character isn't allowed because it gives the appearance of a skinner body even though the hit box is the same.

    Maybe because i´m Female? :D

Maybe 20,000 ZP to get SPOP amd some AWM RD crates, to see what the crates are like.
  • If you going to get zp, Getting armor will get you called a nub, and it's really not worth it because you start learning to play with armor (Rushing, tanking hs'es, etc) I would spin for crates because of the chances you can get coupons, and the chance of a perm gun. If I didn't go for crates, I would go for GP, either again to spend on crates or buy a perm gun

@The people who say you've never won anything from the BM, you probably won't if you only buy 5 crates and then never use it again. -.-
