Same thing happened to me. I tried to reinstall the new client and the Anti virus found a virus again....damn.

I can't provide screen shot but i had the same error a hour ago, and then the game uninstalled itself, It keeps reinstalling to 100% and then says it can't start the processes, (sorry for spelling) any one know why?

I have fixed My Socket Error Problem by Uninstalling Crossfire and installing it again and when it say Failed to Start Application [after done download] I clicked on the set up and It worked for me...

OS windows 7 32-bit I disabled my antivirus and firewall and the downloaded the game from mirror 1, then ran the game with the anitvirus still off. Then hgwc and x-trap stop responding. I installed the game this morning

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Stupid errore!!!!!

Hy all...how can resolv this errore,,,Detecting file changing ,,HGWC.exe..i reinstal the game and nothing,,y reinstal al system windwos and nothing y think the crossfire have errore,,not the pc...went y started to play crossfire this stupid game have errores,,,wai cant play .this game sow stupid all TIME ERRORESSSSSSS!!!.. why can not play crossfire quiet, get errors all the time, "I want to quit this game, but a pity that we put a lot of money in it .. ZP .. but I will not let this game is very nice, "I see the forum all the time why can not resolve the error and put an end to them, 'Why do we blame, because it's full of hacks??

hi umm i open crossfire press start game the window closes and then nothing like 30 minutes later a window pops up saying something about not being able to download the patch
