Stop censoring Christ?
It may not be that big of a deal but there are multiple occasions where people are censored because they use a sentence with christ somewhere in it.
I don't get why it's censored. If it's because of religion, then censor Buddha and Allah. Why single out Christ?
Not only Christ but I think there are a couple other pointless words that are censored.

Because there are violent pasts with Christianity? History has been quite violent when it concerns Christianity. (Dont quote me on that) Buddhism is mainly philosophy with lots of deities (and dont quote me on that) And i know nothing of Islam...
And some are just offended with the mention of Christ for their own reasons.

Well there have been violent pasts with every religion.
Just because some people are insulted by Christ doesn't mean it should be censored. I can be offended by just the word Jew or something and is that censored? Nope. -

Well, Christian views tend to counter and attack other views. I'm a Christian myself, but I don't go around asking others to convert to my religion. I guess it's just something to protect the religion? I doubt you need a religious backup while playing a game that promotes killing. -

And i'm talking about lifting the censoring off Christ not in a religious way
It's more of that I get annoyed when I try to call my friend by his name by its censored...because its christian -

Well it's a possibility but why would they censor Christ then? If they're protecting everybody's religions, they should censor other words...i can say Allah in vain or anything like thatunfortunately i don't have much to comment or opinion on the thread.
But maybe it has to do with "Don't say the lord's name in vain"? -

If you talking about a "certain" event like sept.11 then that is off the point. The Al-Qaeda group is a group that expresses a minuscule minority's views of Islam, they are just basically violent radicals. But thats a dangerous thought or phrase to say coming from me. -
I know dual that it's a bit hard to say because it might offend people and if political correctness is what they're aiming for, then all religious words would have to be censored.. So either they have a reason, or it was a spare-of-the-moment decision.

It's got nothing to do with "Religion". It's the phrase "Jesus Christ" which has made the word Christ banned and they disallow it because using Jesus' name in vain. -

just to let you know. Just because Al-Qaeda are a bunch of muslim what they do have nothing to do with Islam. Now I'm not going to flame about this. But I hate it when I hear people say muslim are terrorists because of one group. BTW, im not directing this at you. But I hear this all the time in-game. I think christ is censored because I believe when I first started Crossfire I used to hear a phrase that was talking bad about christ.

That's the problem. I've seen that too. The thing is I hate when I need to whisper to someone I cant because they have something in their name that blocks it.
Like /w christhekiller.
So they should unblock religious words and make you able to whisper. -
what about allah? buddha? sorry i dont know other religious gods but ive thought of that and if thats the case then they're being onesidedBecause not everyone is Christian. Religion can start fights on crossfire so that's why it's blocked. -

It's got nothing to do with Religion. It's just used as a "swear word". -
I find it stupid.
But at least whilst it is censored no one can bad mouth him.
I remember last year when I said merry Christmas in a game and then it came out Merry ***mas I was like wth.
So I typed Jew Muslim and Sikh and they wasn't starred out so why is Christ?
PS. Is Jesus starred out too?
