I need to get a better FPS
I have gamebooster all my drivers are up to date, I have changed all the settings on my graphics for performance instead of quality the resolution in CF is at the lowest.
Ever since the Xmas patch this has been happening and I dunno what to do, my FPS used to be around 150 now it is a sucky 60 if I am lucky.
I'm not getting at the makers of the game I just want tips on how to make my FPS better.
EDIT: I have no viruses, that was the 1st thing I scanned for. I've also re-downloaded and reinstalled twice to no avail. Nothing wrong with any hardware either.

Regarding the last post, ping and fps aren't the same thing.
Regarding the topic, if you're still having trouble after defragmenting, are you able to bring up the task manager while you have cross fire open? If so, tell me if any processes besides crossfire seem to be taking up a significant amount of processing power. If not, or you don't know how, just reply here asking how. -
The new christmas patch is a bit shakey on it's design... For a while, I've been having high pings during the night but now that's stabilized. So just wait a while or maybe till 2011 when the new patch comes out... It should get better.
Well my ping still rises/spikes during the night time. -

I know how, I have already done all that, there is nothing taking any processor except CF itself taking around 98% (which it always has done)
That gamebooter thing closes any unimportant processes before launching the game so I know it isn't that. -
Lowering in-game resolution works fine, but it feels weird before you used to it..
Good thing to do is uninstalling programs you dont need anymore, they can be running as deamons in the background without you knowing..
You can also defragment your harddrive and clean your registry, also works..
The best thing (most brutal solution at all) is imho reinstalling the whole operation system.. Ive installed recently lite version of Win7 on my laptop and from 40-60 fps (resolution 800:600) ive got around 100(resolution 1440:900). All i have to do now is keeping my system clean

Im experiencing fps drops.. one time my fps is like 60-70 which is good cuz then i feel that the lagg disapeared. And then the other time my fps is like 20-30 which makes me lagg a bit. Hope theres a solution so that i can keep those 60-70 fps always? Would be usefull lol =D
@eLChRisK if your fps is 30ish at all times.. get a better pc cuz i can't play with 20-30 fps
