Mouse problem

The last 3 weeks or so i have been getting negative mouse acceleration or mouse deceleration. Any idea on what could be causing this and how i could fix this.

Mouse: intellimouse explorer 3.0
edit: its not only in this game happens in source as well.

If it's wireless [I haven't checked it yet] it could be because of a connection problem, if it's wired, it may be an internal problem. Has this mouse been giving you this problem before, or is it just a new issue?

Edit your windows registry, I did that, and A LOT of mouse stuff. Helps a lot though.
