Socket Error

So Whenever i open cross fire it starts to load then says socket error with a whole lot of 0's. Does this mean i have to re-download cross fire? -.-

  • Unfortunately, I don't think I can give you a definite answer on this one. However I can tell you that a "Socket" deals with network connectivity (between your computer and the game?). Network sockets constitute a mechanism for delivering incoming data packets to the appropriate application process or thread, based on a combination of local and remote IP addresses and port numbers. Are you using a router? Is your Router/Antivirus/Firewalls configured to accept all traffic from crossfire ports?

    If there is no way to start the game up without the error, try re-installing it. Be warned: It seems this problem is network related so re--installing might not do anything. check the forums and good luck!

    Lol Thanks. Yeah i use a router and Cross fire has been fine with it for the past year. So idk what would make it change.
    But ill re-download it soon.
