yes, unrealistic... but a tad more transparency can never be wrong.

i do believe more transparency is needed. Especially based on the FOIA, but the movement you are supporting is to get a completely transparent government.

overly optimistic, but i d rather go with them, than cheering for companies that rather support fascism than freedom of speech.

Is that really the world you want to live in? May I suggest moving to China, I hear they share your beliefs, also their version of CF has more cool stuff.

That is correct. And we used to have a president (JFK) who believed this wholeheartedly. Naturally, the CIA killed him for it, just like they kill all their opponents that cannot be silenced. He would be pretty damn proud of Manning and would probably have pardoned him.

I don't think you are realizing what full government transparency would do to this country?

Sorry, but your life along with everyone else's life would be ruined.

If you want to start through up your address, telephone, and SSN. If not sit down, because that is full government transparency.

I think I found the problem, you have terribly broken sense of privacy and transparency. The _government_ needs to be transparent because we all pay for it and they act in our name, on our behalf.

1.) Your address is public information to begin with.

2.) The government doesn't even have my phone number. If they ever did, I would obtain a new phone.

3.) The social security system is broken. If it was operated properly, the SSN wouldn't need to be secret. We shouldn't be using that number for all our business, that's the real problem.

Personal privacy does not equal government transparency. Try again.

Sorry, but personal information is all cataloged in government archives. Under full government transparency this information would be public.

There is a reason why Full government transparency is a utopian model. There's also a reason why there has never been a fully transparent government. IT DOES NOT WORK IN PRACTICE.

    You try again

As I said before, throw up your information or sit down.

I think a majority of americans would say, "Yes the government should be more transparent in what they do." This is assumption is based of the FOIA and the fact that most people feel a lack of information passing through the channels.

However, the number of people supporting the movement for a fully transparent government seems to be the minority.

What you say sounds more like an argument against the government having that information in the first place. ..
