high ping all of sudden
Hi all.
I live in the netherlands
Since the Xmas patch, im having very high ping.
Before the patch, my ping was around the 25
But since the patch, it increased to 225!
When i do different Speedtest, the result is like 10
So crossfire added a little more ping, thats why 25 before xmas patch.
Thus, without crossfire: ping = 10
With crossfire: ping =225
speedtest:
So im pretty shure that im having such an high ping because of the CF server.
How can i fix this?

I love in the netherlands and all UK servers i have 15-20 ping.
BUT. I played like 3 years ago to. on windows xp.
I started now like 4 month ago again and now i have windows 7.
When i started on windows 7 i had a ping from 600 till 1600.
But i know that problem now its a windows 7 problem in register.
Just needed to edite some code and i had 15-20 ping again =D.
Maby u can google to for solving ur problem and google under.

i figured out that since last patch i have double p1ng at uk 2 -.- it's annoying ... only at early morning time of+1gtm when less ppl on ping goes lower ... but still h8er as usual
P.S i have win7 too but i fixed p1ng with regedit. so on i have p1ng as at xp. also problem is not by os issue personally 4 me. -

This issue is from the servers of crossfire.
I was playing on crossfire and i watched my ping.
Now i saw in server UK 2 my ping is from 100-400 normaly 15-20 but in other servers its normal so idk that very much. -

I always had around 25 ping till now.
When i play a match in cf i have 225 ping, and when i do speedtest at
the same time, the speedtest says 15
and i dont think it would be a big difference, on wich server i do speedtest.
Because my ping ingame on UK servers always have been 25, till now.
and i dont think it is windows 7.
I bought i new comp with windows 7, played some months, normal ping
til the patch -
The patch has a definite error in it that NEEDS TO BE FIXED. Just no way I can keep playing crossfire with this bogus lag that appears from thin air. This MUST be resolved ASAP as for me... I can't do anything to increase or lower the ping that I have... During the day time it's fine and works like a charm, but when it reaches the evening, my ping goes on the fritz. It seems that it's happening to the general servers such as the original and UK servers but for the more specific local servers I suppose not as much due to less internet traffic...
However it's been crowded like this before so there's no reason why I should be lagging. Definetly someone messed up on writing the patch or the servers needs a good cleaning.
