gfx card too good? should i switch to onboard gfx card instead?

what is Crossfire running in? openGL? what? im just wondering. also im not sure if im better of using my onboard gfx card since the onboard is a radeon hd 3200 and the one that is installed is a radeon hd 5750.

im not sure if the card is too new so that my card isnt ment to run an older enginge or something. my fps has been going down patch after patch

before the katana patch i was gettin about 80-110 avg back even more i was getting 211+ stable FPS all on high settings! after the katana patch i was getting 20-40 now im getting about 30-50 with all the sudden drops in fps to 10 or lower!

this has to be the game not liking a newer card or something! i run call of duty world at war and mw2 on my PC on high! i am running windows home prem. 64 bit and yes my drivers are always up to-date.

and i have no idea why it just lags in Crossfire.

i have a logitech g15 keyboard and g9x mouse installed with the software the only thing i can think of is the card for sure. unless this has some g15 issuse but i can not see how or why.

this is killing me.

and by the way for some reason everytime i look at smoke my fps shoots up to even higher!

my ati catalyst (the card manager) is set to use applation settings and even put it on the best perfourmance! only a slight increase.

i havent made it relie on its own settings yet but this could be the issuse as well. any helpfull imput is welcomed!

i just cant wrap my head around this issue and have asked a few other people and they told me dont worry about since they have lower fps than me but wish they gain fps by looking at smoke.

thanks.
